Perfect way to survive an ambush or when you have to retreat.
Or just for kicks.
Also listen to the trailer with Pink Floyd - Great Gig In The Sky playing, it fits it quite well IMO.
I wish they'd reveal a new character already.

Or any new info, really.
Fucking ad makes me fill up every god damned time.
Or any new info, really.
Yeah they had the hype but they're not using it. I'm hoping it doesn't fade out again in a few months.
Yeah. Your girlfriend gets kidnapped and you have to go try and find her. I'm assuming it starts with you not knowing about the zombies then working with survivor groups to try and take back the ISLAND/ GIRLFRIEND.
The Player must have a fat Girlfriend.
A tropical island local would be fun, but I would be tired out from how exotic it is. I would find any western town or city to do much better in the long run, especially since there is more to do in such an environment.

And it'd be more realistic, considering not everybody is gonna be on vacation when the zombies break out, especially not me.
And you read that right, I said when the zombies break out, not if.

You know it's just not a resort island right? There is a city and all.
Did you hear CNN bitching about Dead Island? Well, it wasn't them complaining, but it's pretty easy to infer the opinion of the author of the article. They mainly went on and on about involving children in violent scenes, at one they said that the girl was eaten by zombies. What?
You mean this article?

I love this, video games are trying to progress in their storytelling and the complexity of their narratives, and every time they do so, there is always someone calling them out for being 'evil' or 'disturbing'.
Children being killed?
That doesn't happen anywhere in the world at all!
People die everyday(including kids) - No one gives a fuck
People die in Video Games - "Pure Evil"
No demo for the PC? That sucks

Rapelay.
Children in Africa get raped, we don't see CNN doing/saying anything about that.

You know what always irritates me about zombie games? How the whole entire city/town is infected within a matter of minutes. Not hours, like 5 fucking minutes. Oh and how there seems to be more zombies than the original town population.

And the fact that the army are always overwhelmed REALLY easily. I'm sure if they are trained to fight a war they can fight off zombies. They certainly have the firepower and I dont see a hunk of rotting flesh somehow destroying a tank.
I was watching Inside Gaming and they said that Dead Island is gonna be at GDC in a few days, can't wait.

The trailer only just came out give it a while.

Following movie logic, a helicopter flying 200 feet in the air will be overrun by zombies.
That was a really large pet peeve of mine. I mean, Hollywood is assuming most people are generally idiots/ignorant, and will walk up to a rotting corpse and get bitten like that. If you think about it, people by instinct avoid things that they know aren't good. A walking corpse is no exception.
Now, if there were movies about how a real apocalypse would be, it'd be quite boring. Nobody wants to sit there watching an hour and a half of people gathering food, ammo, building defenses, and sleeping. Not to mention, you can't make a sound (according to The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks) or zombies within 50 miles of you will hunt you down.

That is a little over-exaggerated don't you think?

What if the Virus is like time delayed and needs a specific amount of infected people to break out?
What if the Virus is like time delayed and needs a specific amount of infected people to break out?
Yeah because a disease is really gonna be all "ok, everyone choose a human and on my count we unleash hell!"

You'd be surprised what viruses can do to people :colbert:
That is a little over-exaggerated don't you think?
No, that's pretty much how the book describes it.
This is why I liked that split scene in Resident evil outbreak starting mission, The outbreak has started but it's pretty low, as you walk around you see people fighting off the zombies or doing things that would be considered Smart.
What if the Virus is like time delayed and needs a specific amount of infected people to break out?
That doesn't make any sense at all, a virus isn't going to be dormant until a certain amount of people have it.

No he's right, that's over exaggerated like crazy. Human ears, even if they are zombified, are not going to be able to hear a sound 50 fucking miles away. So you're telling me a zombie can hear my footsteps inside a house from 50 miles?
Oh man,
Gonna grab 4 friends and start an axe fest on day 1
Fuck yeah
