Use the same folder in your deadisland steamapps folder, it's usually:
steam/steamapps/common/deadisland/out/data

Okay, so this game seems both awesome and not so awesome. The idea is interesting and a sandbox zombie killing game sounds like a good idea, but the combat system looks a little awkward (although everyone seems to be giving it good reception). The plot also seems to be rather generic/terrible, making it more of a 'fun game', but I can't quite judge.
Maybe I just need to watch less joke / mod videos on Youtube, or console videos with shitty players; I spoiled watching the final boss fight from a PS3 player's upload and he couldn't aim his guns for shit whatsoever. :v:
I really do love the melee, it has its charms. Like breaking a zombie's arms and watching it try to bite you. Or cutting off a zombie's head by throwing a cleaver. Sadly I don't have a controller and I can't use the analog style, which I hear is much better. If you have an xbox controller or some other compatible controller, try out the analog, It seems to be alot more precise. Also I'm just gonna quote my earlier post.

The idea is generic but when are zombie games not.

Orrrr just grab them and save them in your inventory for when you level?
I wish ammo was slightly rarer, and headshots vs any normal zombies/infected would basically instakill. would make it more worthwhile to use guns. i mainly use my impact hammer to splatter their heads on the pavement in one swing.

drop a weapon so you have at least one inventory slot free
spam f at the weapon

Weapons above your level don't let you swap them out for your currently equipped one, so if you have no space, you can't pick it up.
And even when you drop one, often F just does nothing. So that's why you just keep hitting F until he picks it up. Worked for me, worked for a friend I told to try it too who was experiencing the same problem.

Well, this might help you anyway, when you start the game and you can't use your use key, go into your options and change your refresh rate, when it comes up asking you to confirm these settings, click no. Then see if you can use your use key.
I finished the game today with my buddy, one of the most entertaining games I have played in the past few years, onto Newgame+ :dance:

My friend managed to get about 7 bottles in the Hotel, you could try your luck there, just make sure you've done the quest that takes you to the top for the antenna, and you can get in.

I actually ordered a wireless receiver for my 360 controller JUST for this game. I was trying it with a mouse, fun but a bit too complex to be maneuvering. Hopefully the controller eliminates that.
Finally got a gun. This game has a good aiming system and it's fun. Better than CoDs and this game focuses on melee. Really pathetic.
