20 hours into the game, level 34 or something as Sam B, just finished the quest to get weapons from the armory to the guy running the gang of inmates, no real desire to play the game anymore... it just feels really repetitive, especially the combat.
FUCK. Every time I try to start my saved game it crashes :(

Your CPU is fine, should be fine on RAM and your video card is also fine.
So you'll be able to handle midish range settings.
Just to help compare I'm getting 30-70fps with Core2Duo@2.8Ghz, 8Gb DDR2 and a GT430 (lowest of the Fermi cards) at the resolution of 1280x720 and in-game settings at med-high.

Im playing on highest settings with Pentium dual-ciore e6300 2.8 GHz, 3 gb ram and GeForce 9600GT (512mb) on ~30FPS, so yeah, i think u will be able to play it on medium at least.

The armoured car is kinda creepy in how perfect the handling is, when I fist drove it, I slowed right down to make a turn, and the thing responded better than the trucks do.

Well I ignore Yahtzee when it comes to MP games. He doesn't like playing MP at all so when a game comes out that really meant for MP, he'll only play the SP and bitch about it.
I don't think anyone takes Yahtzee seriously anymore. When you have a reputation for disliking everything, you can't really do anything else.
Also I'd like to bet that his reviews aren't done in a single sitting, he just records each line and takes out the silence in between.
I didn't know anyone took him seriously.
I thought his videos were just for pure entertainment.
