what the hell is wrong with you guys? yahtzee isn't a troll and doesn't hate things just because it's more entertaining that's retarded, he's just very picky and sometimes wrong in his pickiness and can't appreciate what a game does WELL enough and is too focused on negatives, his reviews are 100% serious and his opinion, just presented in a comical way to make them more entertaining. he has dont some reviews where he actually liked games, this bullshit about 'he just says it's bad to be funny and entertaining' is retarded and wrong and you know it, you're just trying to justify liking a game he deems to be bad. but you really don't need to, you can just disagree with him and enjoy the game anyway for what it does well and whatever enjoyment you find in it.

I just watched Yahtzee's review. Again, very centered around SP and not the co-op. I agree that the idea of loading a save doesn't mean you load back any of your ammo you used previously is incredibly stupid, but I have a feeling he lied about the escort missions. Yes, escort missions suck but the entire time I played Dead Island, the NPCs didn't charge in and start attacking the zombies. For me, they would stop dead in their tracks and go, "OVER THERE!" From which point, I had to go clear them out. If a zombie got too close they would end up fighting. As far as the FPS fighting mechanics, I don't get why he thinks that everyone agrees with him that first person games that either involve fighting (Dead Island) or parkour (Mirror's Edge) is confusing. Is it really that confusing? I guess on a console, maybe, since you can't look around as fast as you could with a mouse.

who said I agree with him? i don't, there are a lot of good things about dead island that neglected to bring up entirely and I enjoy the game a lot all I said was he's not trolling or saying it sucks to be funny, and people should stop dismissing it as such because to do so is only lying to yourself

Actually I'm pretty sure he was trying to be funny by saying it sucks. You said it yourself, there were alot of good things that he didn't touch at all. You just seem to be sticking up for him, makes you seem like a yahtzee fanboy. I also find it funny that most reviewers complain about no auto-aim. Now that this game DOES have auto-aim, it's somewhat of a bad thing.

He barely plays the games he reviews. If you've watched the Monster Hunter Tri review, for example, and have played the game, it is painfully obvious that he played for about an hour and called it a day. Would he have liked the game if he played it longer? Well, probably not. But at least then I would be able to take his review seriously. I'm not saying he's not entertaining and his insight is often quite trenchant, but if you take his reviews with the least amount of seriousness, you're doing yourself a massive disservice.

Just made deathstalker zed's demise. Logan has a increased crit on throw chance, so if you throw it at a thug chances are his head will just instantly fly off. Kills most zombies and infected in 1 hit. I also made a tesla sledgehammer with 800+400 damage. So awesome on crit, zombies explode into electricity and go flying across the map.

My progress so far (I'm addicted to this game) on the xbox360: Character: Purna lvl 46 Playtime: 64hours Playthrough: 4th (There is always recipes and shit to find, on the 4th playthrough I found about 2 recipes) Melee kills: 1600~ Firearm kills: 4500~ Highest critical damage I ever done (with my deagle) was 14140. Purna is so fucking good when you reach lvl40 it's incredible, kill 2 zombies and have about 50% (about 20% without killing zomb) critical hit chance which sends them flying away in one shot. I have absolutly no challenge in this game anymore I just run around to try and to find mccalls9mm and the crowd pleaser, no ammunition problems since I bought materials for about 100k to make more I love this game. Also when dying I lose about 20k money, it hurts :v:

I've never found a non-white firearm. I'm level ~32 and am just about to enter the jungle. Is it easier to find firearms there?

The game sold fast, and I cant find it anywhere. Even GAME.co.uk had it sold out at one point. Ill have to order it online somewhere as they'll be stock there, but have been hoping everyday I'd simply pop in after work and pick a copy up. Got a PC version which im enjoying, but have been looking for a PS3 version to CO-OP with a friend. [b]Few Questions[/b] - Can anyone tell me if you return to the Island at all or can do at any point? Ive been told once you get asked to retrieve a truck, you'll be on your way into the town map at some point, which is the quest I've just recieved. I'd rather explore and see and do everything before doing that. - I remember recieving a quest at the lighthouse to check out and find a crashed plane in a jungle, but after completing some more missions the sidequest simply dissapeared from my log. Yet everytime I visit the lighthouse and walk past the girl she asks if I have found the plane yet? Is this a bug or does the quest crop back up at some point?

The quest disappearing might be a bug. Try to find the plane and see if it updates.

It'll be a long ways away, so don't worry.
