I beat it. I have no friends who have the game, but the game alone was very entertaining. I felt kind of sad when the NPCs said 'you guys' or 'all of you' because I knew you were supposed to have 4 people.

I have craploads of bleach, so i can craft heaps of ammo, And my best rifle is a lightning-fast pride rifle that does around 5k damage every shot to a lvl 46 walker.

I'm glad I beat the game at least once before they patched the item duping bug. Having to find somewhere to repair my weapons every five minutes kills the game fast.
IMO, since the game wasn't a realistic emotional game anymore like it was originally going to be, they should have removed the whole degradation system. It just needlessly detracts from the arcade-y experience.

I quite like this game. Items degrade 2 or three times two fast as they should but overall it's a fine zombie experience. A step in the right direction towards THE zombie game.
How do I stop from other people joining my game, tough? Those fuckers ruin my experience by sprinting around everywhere and not letting me explore and kill zombies in the way I want.

THEN PRESS OK BECAUSE IF YOU PRESS ESC TO LEAVE THE MENU IT DOESN'T SAVE AND ONCE YOU'RE IN GAME YOU CAN'T CHANGE IT

His laptop is a whopping piece of shit that can't even run CS 1.6 at decent FPS. He made his Steam account that looks like a bloody alt a month ago.
Dead Island is the game I always wanted. I can run it at 30 FPS with everything set to low-ish plus the Dead Island helper disabling some other things such as SSAO. [sp]If you're wondering, yes I pirated DI, just to try it.[/sp]

Agreed. This is one of the best engines for PC. However, I'm getting so good FPS that even the with the vertical sync on the image stutters annoyingly.

I swear I saw a walker back off yesterday.
I hit a thug with impact mace and to my surprise it fell down.
I put away my mace, racked my knuckles and muttered "all right". Then crouched over him as he was trying to get up and started pounding the ever living shitfuck out of him. With my fists. I did that until I was out of breath and his body had gone limp, breaking several of his bones with a loud crack in the process.
I then stood up, caught my breath and grabbed a can of energy drink that was nearby. As I was drinking that I noticed something out of the corner of my eye, I looked towards it and saw a lone walker standing there, next to a overturned truck looking at me. I finished the drink and threw the can to the ground, grit teeth and clenched fists for another fight, but he just backed away behind the truck.
I let him go and half a minute later I was instakilled by screaming, flaming, bloody running skeletons.

Found an odd glitch which duplicates weapons while making new characters with my friend. I had a level 48 shotgun that was worth 8k that I wanted to sell on my new character to get some quick starting money, so I traded him the gun. Went to my new character, we were both level 1 at the time. He traded me the gun back. But he also kept it in his inventory. So we ended up duplicating the shotgun. We've tried it with guns we can use but it doesn't work. Might only work with guns neither of the traders can equip.
So far I've found two places in the resort where you can 'get out' of the playable area. It's pretty interesting.
I just got new rare baseball bat and crafted it with disc saw axe mod, but whoa I got 27 molotov instead. And all recipes (like alcohol and rag) still the same. Then, everyone stole my molotov immediately.
I dont know but it had happened once for me.

Btw I still playing this game, it's fun to help friends , wait for other friend who wait for sales, and make some trucks racing in resort.
I remember playing with my friend. After we were done playing, she had 70 bucks left and I had lost 500k. We kept trying to kill each other with the gas tanks, molotovs, etc,. Fun times. Now I'm broke :[
wow what a great update techland i especially like the one part where they added a crash after the dead island logo appears it makes this game all the greater!!!!!!!!!
