I thought I was losing my fucking mind.
I modded a Pride Gun, Shock rifle and Pride Shotgun only to find out they all disappeared, taking my last set of firearms from me.
It's happened to me on 1 or 2 other weapons. Seriously this is like the most mystifying glitch I've come across in all my years.

I had the same on the xbox and then I found out what and why it happened!
1. If you encountered the mystical no hands as weapon glitch then never modify a weapon with a full equiped cycle of quick items, always leave one place free or it'll disapear.
2. When your inventory is full and you modify a weapon it may happen to make the weapon mystically fly and standing still near the working bench, found some of my weapons like that but way to many weapons disapeared like that because I did not notice.
3. look closely on the ground if it's half in the ground because same as number 2. full inventory makes weird things in this game.
And to be sure you will get the weapon "Leave 1 slot in the quick item circle EMPTY, you'll 100% get every weapon"
I modded my Pick of Destiny with something, and it turned into 10 molotovs at my feet. Biggest bullshit ever. I often have things disappear and other weirdness when trying to mod things even with a clean inventory.

No clue what you guys are talking about. Go get a high tier shotgun, always aim for the head no farther than mid range and you're set. I use my shotgun all the time to one shot butchers, floaters, thugs, etc.
Pistols are useless, shotguns and rifles however are not unless they're white-texted pieces of shit. Or maybe guns are only good for me because I play as Purna.

If Purna is the black(?) broad who pulls out a gun for Fury, than I think you have a better experience because of that.
I've taken a purple-texted Short-Shotgun modded with the Pride-mod, put it inches away from just a standard infected's head and all it did was knock them down and do like 900 damage.

But either way, with all the time it takes just to line up the perfect shot it takes, there's just no way for it to be of any use to me. It's absolutely useless for hordes of them(I've never seen the spread hit more than 1 zombitch at a time.)
I've never tried it on a butcher, though, that sounds interesting.

Logan is my favourite character because he is the most appropriately dressed for the situation.
He even has a backpack.

Yeah, Purna is the gun chick. That's stupid the devs didn't make instant kill shotgun headshots apply to all characters because it's amazing being able to dispose of sub-boss zombies instantly, I don't even have to aim up a perfect shot, as long as I get them in the head they pop off and die instantly.
I guess now I'm starting to see why everyone says guns are awful, if you ever do a new game in the future, try Purna. It pays off amazingly well and she has pretty good skills all around.

Does anyone want to play this game with me? It is getting boring by myself.
I don't get it.
When I'm alone, this game is scary as fuck. But whilst im at uni or in the lounge room with the laptop out with people around, it's not scary at all.
Think I just got a bit burnt out on this game. According to steam sunk 22 hours into it, and still had a fair bit of the city/town to complete, main quest was only around 30 or so %. Really enjoyed it, but just havent had any motivation to go back too it.

It's incredibly fun at the start, but it gets quite stale after the resort area.
PS3 and 360 are finally getting the patch PC got a few weeks ago. PS3 today and 360 tomorrow.

like seriously why the fuck does every dev team ever get shotguns wrong? irl they have quite a decent range on them and pumpers are so fun to use but in this game especially you can't one shot anything even if it's standing right in front of you.

You need brown skull which located in resort, bunker#2, where you escort Nikolai in "Black Hawk Down Quest". Go inside and find portal on the ground that lead to room with suicider and brown skull on the ground. Put skull on the top of rock mountain in east coast from lifeguard tower. You should get the blueprint there.
Make sure you leave 1 free slot of inventory when you create it.

Shotgun will blow most of tough guys when you get critical shots but aim on chest, even you're not Purna.
