[QUOTE=HumanAbyss;28477671]So somebody REPOSTS the same fucking article that was earlier in the thread that's already been fucking debunked, and you all go apeshit again as if it's dead rising 3?
Fucks sakes.[/QUOTE]
It was debunked?
When? I only remember a couple of people going "WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG".
He is going to say that the article is claiming how its not like the trailer.
However only one paragraph in that whole article contains that argument.
The rest is ACTUALLY RECOUNTING A PLAYTEST which was done, showing that the game is not like we hope it to be.

The entire article says that the game is not how it was portrayed in the trailer.

I'm still interested in the game, but making us think it's a dramatic horror game and then giving us a hack-n-slash is pretty low.
necklaces on everyone to block transition
still doesnt transition well

It's not an RPG, it just has a single RPG element. :smug:[/QUOTE]
Totally racist. I am a black and jew hating aryan neo-nazi. You found me bro, better turn me in to the cops.

First step is admitting it bro.
I like how this game is turning out. Better than the original story.
I hope the Rpg element isn't to strong. I suck at Rpg's and to much taking your time I want it to be based on combat and sruvival.
Must also have great co-op and sharing items to help each other get by.
I wonder if the will be a barricade system of some sorts?
My interest has been lost majorly. I was hoping for something more innovative than a wacky hack and slash game.
I'll probably still get it though.

I don't know what your idea of survival is, but taking your time and playing smart is a staple of all games that have done survival right.
The IGN report came out at the same time as a bunch of others, and all the others recounted while it's less survival than we hope, it's still a lot different from Dead Rising 2 and that style. How do those matter less?
Better had be a hard mode.

They don't matter less, but they're all just saying similar things. Which may be confirmation of truth or might just be an example of collective journalistic bullshit, most likely the former though. Articles that provide contrary information to what is commonly said are more interesting, although there's a higher possibility that they may just be wrong or lies.
The IGN article provides some different information, a different insight into how the game seems to play, they may have just not been paying attention and were too willing to compare the game to another, they may have just been saying what they thought would get people interested like the shills they are. But unless someone who has actually seen the game comes out and directly contests IGN's views of the event, I'm considering IGN's view to be as valid as a site like Gamespot's.
Stop arguing and calm your tits. None of us here have played the game or seen gameplay so we shouldn't jump to conclusions.
I demand gameplay.
Smashing Zombies jaws off erryday, i know i will.
Just got the new PC gamer, it's got an article on Dead Island. Lots of new screenshots. Will post info when I am not drunk.
[B]Okay, the main screenshot is some zombies eating a corpse with a jet plane coming in for landing behind them.
One of the special zombies is the Ram, that guy in a straightjacket. He charges at you, and has a weakpoint in his back.
Another new infected is the 'drowner' a zombie that has been floating in the pool to long and has swollen.
The suicider is riddled with pulsating boils, he seems alive and asks you to help him, however if you get to close he explodes.
The Butcher has exposed bones were his hands used to be, he slices and stabs you with them
There are throwing knives.
You battle looters and gangs, one gang has taken up the police station as their base.
Start outside the hotel complex and have access to a Jungle.
Techland say that this takes place right after the outbreak so you encounter poeple that are still hopefull for the military to arrive, due to this there is some form of law within the survivors and money is still valuable.
Techland stresses that they are trying to be serious and not goofy like Dead Rising.
Zombies 'Level up as you do'
Finally, Techland had to turn down a fan suggestion of a killer octopuss.[/B]
Nice. Was there also something about how many zombies are going to be on the screen at once?

Those special types don't sound too mutant-like really. Actually pretty good.

It said just hoard size, not in huge amounts. Also one of the developers broke his leg showing an actor how to fall like a zombie.

Also, possible scans or something?
I mean screenshots and shit.

I think it's bannable, if it isn't I would happily take some photos with a decent camera. The screenshots are just thinks like the chinese chick in the hotel lobby surrounded by zombies and one play throwing a knive at a runner.
I have the mag, I could get scans in the next 10-20 minutes.
[editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
A few of the screens are already on the website, like the guy that's on the mountainside/hillside and the guy holding a pipe and a zombie up with his arm, but what ever i'll do it in the next 10-20 minutes.

The Skyrim thread had loads of scans posted in it repeatedly and no-one got banned, so I think it's not bannable.
[editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
Also if the bodies dynamically break, I'll probably close myself in a room with lots of bodies than mutilate and dissect them.
Oh I'd like to see the new screenshots please.

Haha.
Well dang I was hoping for shitloads of zombies.

In a melee centric game where the zeds aren't push overs? That wouldn't be even slighty fair.
When i'm playing a Zombie game i really don't want 'Special Infected', in a way it just ruins the fun of killing Zombies when you have a Zombie that's attacking you from far away or whatever.
[editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
Left 4 Dead 2 (This one for the Special Infected from the first one and the new ones) being an example of Zombies i don't like.
