Is it bad that I refresh this page every 30 seconds.
Looks like the website is going to show zombie types, I was looking in the characters section and it spazzed up on me, showing things such as
NAME - LOGAN
CLASS - ZOMBIE
I cant wait for more info.
Anyone else going to tell their friends when they first play coop that it's just like L4D and watch them try and take on hordes of zombies in melee, only to get torn a new one?
That will keep them careful for the rest of the playthrough.
That sounds like a good idea.
No, I do too. This game is just going to be fantastic. It has everything to be GOTY IMO.
Eh, I don't know about GOTY. There are a lot of really good games coming out this year.
I should go to bed but I need this thread, it sustains me.
I should go to bed but I need this thread, it sustains me.
Woah man. Take a break and catch a few Z's. The thread will be here tomorrow. And when you wake up, hopefully, there will be a bunch of new posts waiting for you.
But what if the zombies get me.
Eh, I don't know about GOTY. There are a lot of really good games coming out this year.
Also, don't want to sound cynical but I doubt this will sell that well, I think the title of the game will get it branded as a knockoff of Dead Rising or as sounding too generic. Not to mention I don't think Techland advertises their games much. I could be wrong though, and kind of hope I am.
I wouldn't worry about them not advertising much, the new trailer sparked up heaps of attention.
But what if the zombies get me.
Kick them in the balls or something.

I think it will be too. Techland isn't a big enough company to go all out on advertising.

That's true, but is it enough attention for it to survive 2011?
That's true, but is it enough attention for it to survive 2011?
It'll last when Fox News gets hold of it.

Polish relation (The game is made by Techland, polish developer) from the game demonstration.
I'm too lazy to translate, use google translate, lots of interesting things.
It'll last when Fox News gets hold of it.
Hahahaha, hold on. I'm going to send it into them and take a picture of the email.
Hopefully death animations or whatever are varied and look good.
The first, analog, uses one analog stick for movement and the other for arm control. This unique setup looks like it will take some getting used to, but it does allow you more control over the strength and arc of each swing. The second, digital, is a more-traditional setup that will be familiar to anyone who has played console action games. The analog sticks are dedicated to movement, while all the attacks are mapped to the face buttons.
Good thing they added 2 types of control schemes. Hopefully, the analog arm control works better than another game *cough*Alone in the Dark*cough*
I believe that polish article mentioned 30 hours main quest, and 200 side quests to do.
Official game genre: FPP Zombie Slasher
It's not a joke.
I believe that polish article mentioned 30 hours main quest, and 200 side quests to do.
Yes, main quest takes 30 hours, and there is over 200 side quests.
I myself hope they have true free-roam, it won't be a deal breaker but I hope they don't have levels where free-roam just means that there are side paths or diversions to get between objectives. Also on an unrelated note I think the sparsity of firearms and ammo is going to create some arguments in COOP play.
Hahahaha, hold on. I'm going to send it into them and take a picture of the email.
Heh, let us all help the marketing along in that sense, pretend to be a horrified mother so they will give it some more attention.
I wouldn't worry about them not advertising much, the new trailer sparked up heaps of attention.
True, and IGN has a fair few readers right? I don't use it much myself.
Yes, main quest takes 30 hours, and there is over 200 side quests.
EDIT: Oh, that puts me at ease about the free roaming.
Also, upon the island are 'Hubs'. Small gatherings of survivors.
I'm off to bed now.

Is this considered raiding?

I don't know if it'd be considered raiding. If not, I'll post what I have so far.
Translated from Polish article:
At the presentation I was not able grab the controller, but clearly saw that the fight system is not simply an issue of waving a weapon like a flail. Depending on the distance, weapons and the place that we hit, the effects will be different.
The before-mentioned stick brush usually results from a small fountain of blood and is a bad idea to deal with more than one enemy. Or if we hit in the head, at a time when the fate (and rates) smiles to us and treats us to a critical hit. A pipe can break ribs, but the fun begins when we get something really sharp, like an axe or machete. Rotten bones of zombies can not resist a good cut, so the head, arms and legs quickly say goodbye to the body. My favorite action? Throw a machete, which sticks to the unfortunate man in the chest, pulling it from her and cut off his head. Parents - do not buy this game to your children! ;)
Wow!
I don't know if it'd be considered raiding. If not, I'll post what I have so far.
Poor phrasing on my part, I didn't mean to say let us all send emails that the game is incredibly violent to news outlets, I was responding in the sense of viral marketing for the game to maybe help it along, might not do much but it'd be a nice gesture.
Still go ahead with that, if a news stories comes of it we could all get a chortle at their misinformed expense.
(Going to bed, hopefully news and posts will come forth in the morn)

Ok. Before you go to bed, what are some ideas you have for the email?
Those who managed to survive a zombie attack, joined a handful in their improvised fortresses, which the authors of the game called hubs. That is where we find most of the mission and shops to allow expanded arsenal. Atmosphere trumps plague spreading also to the seemingly safe places, which provides a pervasive panic translates into vivid, natural dialogues. Somehow it is easier to offer his help when the other person's voice can be heard real fear. Navigating the vast area the game will help the car but after the discovery of the hub will be able to save time, with the option of a direct journey.
Is that in the Polish article?
Is that in the Polish article?
Yup. It's a relation from the game demonstration.
I will provide you with new info from Poland, as we will have those informations first.
Yup. It's a relation from the game demonstration.
Ok. Thanks.
I jizzed my pants when I read that you were able to manipulate how to cut/attack zombies with weapons using right stick.
I gotta go. I'll finish the email when I get back.
More translations (last ones for now)
The greatest friend of the player is a backpack full of various, more or less obvious, the tools of murder. However, it has its limitations, and no weapons will not serve us forever (a drop in life informs us of their appearance - the wood is slowly breaks into splinters, the blade is dull, etc.). It is worth looking around the area, because in addition to basic types, we can also encounter the rare items, as well as "epic", which will give the holder of a sizeable kick.

Get to choose from four characters, but at the moment closer acquainted only with Sam B. (in the pictures you can see still waving Katana Mei Xian). This powerfully built rapper, who makes his living playing a hit on his only subsequent events in increasingly exotic locations. At the beginning of the game Sam wakes up at the cries of another man who gathers up the courage to split his head with a baseball bat. After a while it becomes clear that he has good reason - the body itself visible bite marks. Yet he seems to be somehow immune to the plague, which means that it can also be an element of a potential antidote.
I'm a bit dissapointed with that "immune to the plague" cliche.
Oh wow, rare weapons hidden around the place.
I don't think I'm ever going to stop playing this game.

When the fuck is this coming out
Oh wow, rare weapons hidden around the place.

I'm sure I will end up looking for locations of special weps on the internet.
