The island is not "open". One review said that while you can freeroam you can only do it in a limited part of the island at a time. Probably loadscreens.
I know I won't be getting this until it is on sale.
It just seems to be less exciting the more I learn about it.
Yeah my hopes for this game are fading. It seems to be pretty much borderlands mixed with dead rising. Theres nothing really wrong with that, its just not what I wanted.

My brother told me that he did read about people trying to find out ways to play it online anyway, and that would be paid subscriptions to VPN servers. I am going to re-ask my brother where he read it, but I doubt that it will be wrong since he said that xbox wants to shut down germany to play dead island online so nobody will get it from other countries and still play it with everyone.

Same with the zombies in black ops, although not that horrible. You cant play online with other versions of the game, only with the german version because they cut the whole crawler making off and that would be another game version like all the uncut products.

The recommended specs are pretty easy to meet.
I know those aren't usually very accurate, but the game isn't THAT visually impressive, I can't imagine it being difficult to run.

I dont really want to spend extra 100 or more € really.. I still have windows XP and an onboard grafics card :v: I am only writing music on this pc so only my ram and CPU's are strong.

Probably gonna pass on this one unless it goes on sale.

It's been said before but nobody should ever take cgi game trailers as the actual game, but I agree, it still is deceiving. You can always not make the wacky weapons as well, I plan on not doing it.

And I agree with you heavily on this. A big flaw on some otherwise great games is ruined when they have their character randomly spew shit out and only give them like 3 dialogue sounds for it. It's the most annoying thing EVER and can ruin games for me. If devs want to do it, okay fine, but at least give me an option to mute shitty one liners in options or something.
My one friend went to E3 and played Dead Island.
She said fighting zombies is a lot like an ARPG. Not really like the KF or L4D2 system.
