I can't get invested in this game, using that fucking CGI trailer to try and push a serious dramatic game and then turning on it's ass and making it Dead Rising 2 with combo weapons is just apolling, just to use shock factor... I might've had interest in this but I honestly don't.
I own Left 4 Dead 2.

Because L4D2 has horrible characters, is linear as fuck and repetitive.
And Dead Rising 2 alltogether is just boring.
DR2 just didn't work for me. I want to manually save the game myself and not rely on restrooms. And that timer. Hate it.

I myself liked the timer, kept the story and whatnot more realistic, but I can see how it'd annoying and shit to others.
As for Dead Island, I had huge hopes that it'd be a real survival, but it's turned out to be another Dead Rising-ish game, sadly. I'll still be getting it though.

They should have made a mode where you can play around as much as you like without the timer. That would have made Dead Rising perfect.

Also, yeah, Dead Rising's timer put a lot of people off the game almost entirely. A sandbox-type mode would have been a whole lot better than just "Ignore the story missions and restart every few hours" or "Super-hyper-survival-realism mode".
I suppose I more meant "Obnoxious and tedious pseudo-realism mode". Either way, it wasn't what people wanted out of a Free Roam mode.
I like the timer in both dead risings but I wished it was a little bit slower
The combo weapons would have been a lot more fun if you actually had time to get the materials to make them.

Well to them it sucks. Opinions really fall unto the majority of the gamers that get this game.

I stilll feel the need to wait for more reviews before I even think to buy it.
