Is there even a storyline or plot of any sort? I googled it and found that the character wakes up on an island of zombies...
The version from 2006 had you and your wife in a plane crash, thus you have to find her.
Then the after some silence, around 2008 they said your wife was a zombie and you could kill her or look for a cure from the start leading to two different stories.
Now you get drunk in a hut and wake up and there is zombies.

I've said it before but that's honestly what I'm kind of expecting out of the general gameplay (other than melee being used more than guns)

I can't wait to craft myself some really goofy weapons, I love Dead Rising.
Got my per-order in cant wait to smash some zombies.
Don't know about others, but I am loving the colour-coded weapon system, will introduce some fun competition on co-op
Lets see if they block multiplayer per IP here in Germany on the imported versions since it does not come out here. If yes then I am going to chop my head off.

Good. I'm probably alone, but I never found the goofy weapons in DR to be fun, just give me a chainsaw or a sword.
I'm all for ridiculous, funny weapons in DR, but they wouldn't fit at all in Dead Island.
I'm really considering pre-ordering this now, just got some extra cash and this is looking pretty good.
