I think I'm going to play through singleplayer before I do co-op. My friends like to rush all the quests and not pay attention to the story..
I don't know about others but as for whether to buy this game or not all I had to see was: -video footage of gameplay-, and the words "open world". That's it. I honestly don't really care about the story seeing as how it will probably just be me and my friends killing zombies the whole time the game runs for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for a well crafted story. But l4d pretty much didn't have one and it was still crazy fun. I'm looking at this game as an open world L4D with better weapons and multiplayer. A good story would just be a bonus.

It's definitely not an easy task playing a co-op RPG game. You have to have the right friends who like to pay attention to questing and be fair about loot sharing. Fortunately I have a friend who is always my rpg buddy since we've been playing them together for years. Diablo 2, Titan Quest, Borderlands, etc.
I'm confident this will be a decent game judging by the videos I've seen.
See what really has me interested is the idea of whatever is turning people into zombies.
In the CGI trailer, you see the girl as being human when she's dead (skin color and shit is all normal) but when they show her being alive, her skin turns pale and zombie like. It really gave me this weird idea that maybe the virus or whatever is air borne and once the host dies, it leaves the body and infects another person. If that's the way they have it set up, that would be awesome.
Going off that video that got posted the facial animations certainly arn't anything to cheer about.
I know its not a big thing but it just helps the immersion if they're able to move their upper face.
This is the only problem with buying steam keys from 3rd parties. They aren't always sent out before release.

I hate to nitpick too but I gotta say I don't really like the animation for grabbing items, the way the player swings their arm across and picks it up, almost like throwing a punch.

Most publishers set embargoes that don't allow negative reviews to be published ahead of release but positive ones are. Deus Ex HR had this.

Don't worry, they gave it a "positive review", but I don't have exact scores, nor do I think there's a source supplied.

They gave it an 8.5/10 which imo is a pretty solid score.

I actually find it a bit odd how the early PS3 footage hasn't been taken down yet. Publishers usually do that whenever people start posting unofficial pre-release footage of their games.
Although I'm still confused as to if the person posting the footage is actually the press or not, but I'm pretty sure they aren't.

I suppose that does apply for something like this that's had a bit less official coverage than, say, GTA IV (Which was the most hilarious case of unofficial pre-release footage, because videos of it were still getting taken down for "copyright reasons" as much as an entire month after the game was released), but it's still a tad surprising.
Maybe they just aren't dicks.

I reckon the game with be getting mainly 7's-8's, which to me is good. Since the game is meant to be really long I would deffo pick it up for 20 euro on Ultimatum
