The main playable male characters are way overdone in design choices my opinion, both look like stereotype douchebags.

Still not seeing how the voice acting is bad. Its better than most games.
I went ahead and bought it from Ultimatum so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully I'll get a key before the release.

I'm looking forward to this game, I'm sure I'll like it, but man... Why do you ignore rationality just to suck this game's dick? The voice acting is really not that good, it's not awful, but it's not really meeting standards and it is not better than most games.

they don't really convey emotions.
I think the voice acting seems okay. Not good but not game breaking either like Two Worlds or JC2.

I corrected one dude and I was wrong but I've never called anyone stupid.
Gonna cancel my BF3 pre order and get this for the time being. Hopefully some of my friends get this as well.

Yeah but just cause and two worlds got their voice actors from a ward full of stroke victims.
Gameplay is good and all, i just really like when i actually feel something for other characters
can't take them seriously when they sound all hoaky.
I just hope the story delivers a little freshness

I've noticed that zombies sometimes actively punch you. It's not like flailing due to lack of cognitive function it's just a straight up hay-maker.

From that gameplay video, the game looks like more of a petty theft game rather than a kill the zombies find a cure game.
Soon Steve Blum will be the only voice actor in the gaming industry.

I was REALLY on the fence about pre-ordering it. I've pre-ordered too many games that turned out to be flops.
I gave in and got it off Green Man gaming. I hope they send the codes soon so I can pre-load it.

Preloading was hassle-free for me. Go in Steam > Settings and try changing your download region in the "Downloads + Cloud" tab, then restart steam and try preloading again. That's all I can think of.

Same happens with most non-zombie shooters, the media has a feeding frenzy over that stuff. It's stupid, but that's just how it is sadly. The most recent game I can remember having killable kids was the first Deus Ex, which came out 11 years ago.

My response to this is almost completely irrelevant, but Just Cause 2's voice acting was intentionally bad, just wanted to point that out.

Dead Island on PC is a Steamworks title, so in Dead Island's case no. It comes out Sept 5th or 6th depending on your timezone for North Americans and Sept. 9th for everyone else.
I bought it from Greenmangaming. I know GMG orders are supposed to come with the bloodbath dlc, but do they also come with the ripper weapon?
