i feel bad for anyone who pre-ordered this game
There's been a lot of rabbiting on about that. Why?
There's been a lot of rabbiting on about that. Why?
I'm guessing because of it not being the super realistic game people were expecting, people think that means it can't possibly be good which is dumb as shit
Because it's going to turn out exactly like Borderlands, considering everything they've shown looks like Borderlands with zombies
Because it's going to turn out exactly like Borderlands, considering everything they've shown looks like Borderlands with zombies
Borderlands had zombies
Because it's going to turn out exactly like Borderlands, considering everything they've shown looks like Borderlands with zombies
And this means it's going to be bad because...?
because it looks like borderlands also this
I preordered borderlands too and I dont regret that
Well guys his opinion is right so we must all cancel our pre-orders I'm afraid.
because it looks like borderlands also this
All I see there is a bad player.
because it looks like borderlands also this
Has guns and numbers pop up when you kill things = Borderlands Go be a retard somewhere else
Well guys his opinion is right so we must all cancel our pre-orders I'm afraid.
are you pissed off that i'm not showering this game with praise? i can't have my own opinion in this thread that isn't "WOW THIS GAME IS GREAT" also when did i say that you have to cancel your preorders
I still want to believe this game will be awesome, and I'm debating preordering or not. From what I've seen so far, it's a decent zombie game with muddy graphics and awkward looking gameplay. Has anybody had some hands-on time with it, perhaps at E3 or somewhere similar?
are you pissed off that i'm not showering this game with praise? i can't have my own opinion in this thread that isn't "WOW THIS GAME IS GREAT" also when did i say that you have to cancel your preorders
It would be different if you had a legitimate reason for shitting on it even though you're just doing what other people are assuming it sucks because numbers are popping up when you hit something.
you're completely missing the point of what i'm trying to say but ok
It would be different if you had a legitimate reason for shitting on it even though you're just doing what other people are assuming it sucks because numbers are popping up when you hit something.
When did he say that's the exact reason why he doesn't like it?
When did he say that's the exact reason why he doesn't like it?
Because he said it looked like Borderlands and that's the only thing that makes them similar.
It's a complete rip of borderlands. Rather than just akward gunplay, they've replaced it with akward gunplay and akward melee weapons. The leveling system is exactly the same, and even incorporates the same three branch skill tree. The zombies are slow. The combat is slow. The animations are STILL terrible, and clearly no effort has been put into those at all (seriously, who needs emotion during a zombie apocalypse). Borderlands had all of these problems, except for certain bosses/enemies. I guess that could apply to "fast" special zombies in Dead Island There's NO PENALTY when you die, because you respawn in the same location with all of your weapons... so survival in a zombie game apparently doesn't matter. Why is being reminded of Borderlands a bad thing when deciding whether or not to preorder this game? Borderlands was nearly impossible to play once by yourself, and was fun for maybe one play through with a group of four. I bought Borderlands for about 5$ when it was on sale. I know I would have regretted purchasing it for full price, and everything I've seen about Dead Island so far is telling me to stay away from the game.
Okay lets hug before an internet fight breaks out. Oh and I expect this game to be a 7/10 for me, human AI looks poor as shit and some effects are just terrible and offputting. But I know I'll enjoy it.
It's very impressive when a mod comes into a thread to ruffle some feathers. I agree with the complaints that it looks a bit too shooter, but I loved Borderlands and I don't think anyone appreciates your trolling.
New computer arriving Wednesday, Dead Island arriving Friday. Next week is gonna be good.

Yeah never seen that before 2010 Also there are a mix of fast and slow zombies with some extra boss types of varying speeds. Plus we've already seen gameplay videos where if you walk into an area with a group of walkers instead of just one, that's where the gameplay gets fast and intense. I don't really see the problem with the animations often but I have noticed some issues every once in a while.

Well there's definitely a better way to show you have a differing opinion than "I feel bad for anyone pre-ordered this game" and just calling it Borderlands.
because it looks like borderlands also this
What's wrong with Borderlands? And what's wrong with fighting people? Makes perfect sense in the context of a zombie apocalypse.
I personally think the game looks somewhat good and worth my money. Yes, it does have some flaws and people have their own opinions, but I'm still going to get it no matter what someone says unless there is a huge game breaking flaw that won't let you play forever.

All I know is that based on what I've seen, it's really not a purchase. Maybe I'm missing something? What really makes this game unique and worth a purchase?
Well then it probably won't be a problem for you. All I know is that based on what I've seen, it's really not a purchase. Maybe I'm missing something?
What's wrong with Borderlands? And what's wrong with fighting people? Makes perfect sense in the context of a zombie apocalypse.
He's pointing out how bad that mission looks.
What's wrong with Borderlands? And what's wrong with fighting people? Makes perfect sense in the context of a zombie apocalypse.
maybe because of the dumb ai? maybe because of the regen system? seriously the player got shot like 30 times and he's still alive maybe because of the awkward gun play? also for a game touting the "YOU NEED TO SCAVENGE EVERYTHING YOU FIND" it sure is generous with pistol bullets
yes because having a different opinion about something is trolling
It's trolling when you deliberately insist your opinion is right and people should feel bad for buying something you dislike. Stop.
