I don't think anyone knows for certain if each character has a different introduction sequence into the game. Not to mention how well would that work, if at all, in co-op mode.
But aside from the very beginning of the game I think all of the characters are meant to go through the same story doing the same quests, with or without additional survivors/players.

Got a new TV and a $50 Walmart Giftcard for my birthday :dance:. Then my nunchuk for the wii decided to stop working, so I ordered component cables for the wii and a new nunchuk.
Next week is gonna be a good week.

Also I'm glad that Ultimatum was cool enough to give me a refund even though I told them I wanted it so I could buy it from someone else.
I will definitely buy from them in the future even if it's not Dead Island.

I thought Far Cry 2 had a nice healing system. While it wasn't much different to most games, at least he did something to show the healing. i.e. Bandaging up a scratch, pulling out a bullet and applying gauze etc... Made it feel more believable.
Will I be able to run Steam through a proxy so that I can play Dead Island earlier instead of waiting till Friday?
Haha I knew it, you guys are going to get fucked over buying the game on those sites rather than paying the $2 dollars more it'd cost to buy it on Steam if you got into a 4 pack deal.

Once more, I don't care about realism. It's not "Unrealistic = ITS BAD" for me, it's just that mostly regeneration is just plain BAD in most games because they don't do it right. The most recent game that did regeneration right in my book is Deus Ex: Human Revolution because the game is still challenging. The entire point of games to me is to get a break from actual reality, so why would reality in games appeal to me?
I've made it pretty clear I don't care at all about realism in games several times now, all I said was I'm tired of health regen being spammed in games due to the reason the design usually makes the game WAY too easy, and somehow people took my comment completely out of context, label me as a realism fanatic and tell me to grow up. Once again, I don't care about realism AT ALL in games, I never did.
Having them not do health regeneration in Dead Island is, in my opinion, a step in the right direction. That's all I said. I'd appreciate people to stop taking my opinion completely out of context, and to stop putting words in my mouth now that I've made this clear. I'm not being sarcastic or dickish by this closing comment, I'm being sincere.

It actually seems to be a motorized sawblade on a stick. I only bought it full price though because i had a prepaid $50 visa and was annoyed seeing all the games coming out for more than that. I still don't understand why games are being tossed up for $60 it's not like they have to pay royalties to microsoft on pc.
