I had to agree because someone disagreed, though I don't know why. People should realize that mainstream review sites that rely heavily on advertising dollars won't give an AAA title a low score, right? The chairs/CEOs of IGN Entertainment and CBS Entertainment (who are the parents of ZDNet, which owns Gamespot) won't let the reviewers bash a game that gives them tons of revenue.
Oh yeah, and TV shows are created to attract people not to watch the show, but watch the advertising. Got it? Now be good little consumers and go out and buy the game!

Haha yes I hate it when a game I hype for sucks but this looks fantastic.
Plus the reviewer seemed to like it so much that just an 8.0 seems a little low even.
No, I said that it was cheaper at UGK and that it had the DLC, then he said "Well ok, but prepare to show your driving license when you purchase from UGK, cause that's their policy"

I wish people would stop using this as an example to discredit IGN.
It is two completely different sub genres done by two different reviewers. Brink's score is determined by comparing it to the standards of the FPS genre today while the Babyz game is... well, a fucking FAMILY PARTY GAME.

The only one I trust is my friends and people leaving comments on forums but even then it needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Actually, that doesn't prove that it is untrustworthy, but rather they use different criteria to judge different games, which is [I]very[/I] fair. If you want to see IGN's untrustwortiness, look at who pays for their website vs. what reviews those games get.

IGN is a incredibly amateur and unprofessional games journalism site. It isn't horrendous, but their reviews are certainly not something I trust. Giant Bomb, Rock Paper Shotgun and Destructoid are places that I'd go for reviews.
