It's still in the game files. Ergo, it's in the game. Just because it may not have been used doesn't mean it isn't in the game. Kind of how there is always something in the TF2 game files that isn't added for months on end. Consider it an easter egg.

Older protagonists are being neglected these days. I think it allows more focus on their problems etc rather than how many women/men are on their ass and allowing a game to just sex up a lot of elements.
Kane and Lynch are decent examples, though the games weren't all that the characters were pretty interesting.

Dude, this is Rockstar we're talking about, they ARE going to pull this off, and still mantain it within people tastes.
I tend NOT to watch gameplay videos and such if I get so excited about a game. I want to experience the game fully, without any spoilers. Not even how the intro looks like. Trailers and images does not count, of course.
I didn't do this with Fallout: New Vegas. Which was extremely stupid, since Fallout is an adventure type of series. I pretty much knew everything from the start of the game to the middle (I bought this a month or so after release and went watching videos about it). I will not do the same mistake about this nor Skyrim.
