any news on this?
If we're lucky there will be at the VGAs tomorrow night.
I hope that they come up with new myths
It's the players that came up with the myths

Oh yes!
Need to tell my DVR to record it.
I think when you enter a car it should say the brand and the model.
Like you enter a Premier and it says Declasse Premier. Or if you entered a police car it'd say Declasse Merit Police.
Just an idea.

I thought of this too. I tried changing all the car names in GTAIV to full names once but I never finished the mod.

not really, everyone started talking about the Ratman in IV because there were dialogues about it from random people on the streets, and I think they mentioned him in a radio sometime
there's also those abandoned shacks in the middle of nowhere in SA, with a few gunshots in the windows.

Yeah, but the more famous ones, like Bigfoot, were made up by the fans.
I was gonna watch the VGAs anyways, but be careful not to expect too much guys, you'll probably disappointed. Rockstar usually likes to do things their own way, not at some kind of event.
last time didn't they give cod all of the awards, or was that a different show? If it doesn't have any news about any good new games or is biased I'm not going to watch it
Mhm. Don't expect anything. At all.
Seriously. Guys.
Don't.
Not until after Max Payne 3, m'kay?

Last year's VGAs actually aren't as biased as the years before.
A light blue and orange theme for the menus and stuff would be a nice touch.
And no more depressing atmosphere please.

Yeah but I meant 90% of them. bigfoot, Yeti, Panopticon Killer, Leatherface, ghosts, monsters and stuff like that were all made up.
well yes, I know that, but I hope that they'll do the same they did with Ratman and 'hint' some myths
I just hope the world is as interesting to explore as san andreas
I just started playing san andreas again and holy shit, i couldn't give two shits about the graphics in comparison to modern games, the world is still superior. (with exception of games like skyrim, but in comparison to GTA IV and a lot of modern "open world" games anyway)
there'll be myths, bigfoot will return as a major "myth" i'm sure seeing as they put him on the sapd logo and shit, but would be kind of nice, in my opinion, if rockstar made a set of missions where you have to get photo evidence of said myths or something, it wouldn't have to be a main mission or anything but would be cool as a.. more or less "constant" activity
as in, see bigfoot in woods? take a photo and get a mission for capturing said photo, would be cool IMO but doubt we'll ever see it.
Anyone kinda hoping for something about GTA V during the VGA's tomorrow?
Anyone kinda hoping for something about GTA V during the VGA's tomorrow?
would be nice, but realistically no nothing will be gta v related.
but they could surprise us, but I doubt it

But San Andreas was just goddamn empty. Sure, there were desert roads and small towns in the countryside, but most of them barely had a few cars or a few people walking around. And there wasn't anything to do in any of them that would be different from what you could do in the cities.

I agree with that, but the cities genuinely had their own feel, different areas actually felt like different areas..
Liberty city is so boring, even gta 3 did a better job at it than gta iv. (in my opinion)

What? That was like the main problem of San Andreas, all cities felt exactly the same. Los Santos didn't feel like Los Angeles, Las Venturas didn't feel like Las Vegas and I guess San Fierro felt like San Francisco, but the only really unique thing about San Francisco are the way its streets are laid out and San Fierro had that. The only differences between the cities were the geometry.

well we're obviously at a disagreement here, I could argue my points but it'd be a bit pointless.
Maybe I feel the way about san andreas because the narrative isn't constantly go to x and kill y, I feel the narrative actually involves you in the feel they intended for specific cities and such (like, the pimp in san fierro, all the gang-banging gangster stuff in los santos... etc etc)
Well yeah, storyline wise I guess the stuff you did in the different cities were different, but that lead to another problem - the story couldn't decide what it wanted to be so it was just all over the place, always doing different stuff and most of the time that stuff didn't lead to anything and you just went off to do other stuff.
What we need:
Some form of movement like L.A Noire except you can do it anywhere
More customization and computer-friendly settings
More multiplayer variety
At least partial support for modifications (only play on mod-allowed servers?)
BETTER GRAPHICS PLEASE
Maybe:
Some form of RolePlay? :pwn:

Good Lord, please don't do this!
I hope to god that it isn't as gloomy as GTA IV. At some points its so bad it looks like the game is in black and white.

You guys know a trailer exists right?

I found that GTA: SA was one of, if not the best game that incorporated the changing world into the story. In Vice City, and GTA 4, the new islands seemed to open up almost pointlessly, and there didn't feel like there was much point to it; in GTA SA, you are forced to move by the police, into an entirely new environment, which is different in almost all aspects, and when I first playing SA it really excited me, seeing the new open areas. Also, because the story "moves over" to the new place, it gives you much more of an incentive to actually explore it.
What

L.A. Noire has this really smooth way of climbing and jumping over stuff. Kinda like in Mirrors Edge or Brink, where you just hold a button to sprint and leap over things. It would be nice to see that in GTA V.

I'd at least suggested to add jumping to the game.
More car interactions.
The ability to hide weapons in trunk, or put a pistol there in someone else's car and see him or her get arrested.
Pick up cars with forklift.
You know, those little things GTA SA had that made it so much better.
