I would be amazing if rockstar made it like San Andreas. What I mean is like in San Andreas you had to worry about your health. Muscle, fat etc. Also Gta V needs to have a option to have tattoos like San Andreas and other stuff San Andreas had that Gta V needs.
No, all the muscle, fat and all the RPG stuff was fucking stupid in SA.
it barely influenced your gameplay, so I don't see why not, it was fun
No, all the muscle, fat and all the RPG stuff was fucking stupid in SA.
I was fine with muscle and such, but the hunger was just annoying.
it barely influenced your gameplay, so I don't see why not, it was fun
Hunger was annoying and having to spend a fuckload of time mashing buttons just to make your melee attacks not be weak as shit was also dumb. And the fucking swimming skill, goddamn. You go trough like half of the game, not having to do a lot of swimming and not really having a reason to do much swimming up to that point and then you suddenly need to have a high swimming skill to continue the story. So you have to go out and spend like an hour just swimming around shit to keep playing. The RPG crap in San Andreas did nothing but bad.

I think if Rockstar does that sort of thing again, they'll do it right, and not have meaningless grinding to get a non-horrible stat for something. Maybe the activities could just give temporary buffs to you that stack as you do them? Ie eat some food and then you can run XX% longer for the rest of the day, or work out at a gym and get faster running/stronger melee.
I was fine with muscle and such, but the hunger was just annoying.
It happened so little that it made no difference. Also, it wasn't like it actually harmed you. It's perfectly possible to complete the game with having all the stats at the bottom.

It would be cool if your swimming, running and shooting all got better, but in a very "subtle" way, with no progress bars, and no negative changes. Your progress would happen slowly, to a point where people would take lots and lots of walking/shooting/swimming to realize it, and being fat would also be an option. I'm pretty sure they will add something like this, there's a gym in the trailer, and personally, I wouldn't mind being able to work out and make your character get stronger, I always thought Niko never looked good in any clothes because they all made him fat (he was already fat anyway, but you know how it is). oh, and no hunger either
JUNE 1ST? JDSDSS-FUCK SHIT ASS COCK BALLS PENIS c Oh well that's my feelings about that. Having to wait so much longer than others.
Not as bad as the GTA games. I'd be coming out around November if it followed that pattern
Not as bad as the GTA games. I'd be coming out around November if it followed that pattern
Yes, I do remember the wait for the PC version of GTAIV. It was quite frustrating, but I guess I just have to be patient. The delay is also a good thing I guess, making the game as good as it can be.
No, all the muscle, fat and all the RPG stuff was fucking stupid in SA.
Well, stuff like that in San Andreas spiced up the gameplay a bit and made it much different from vice city. I don't understand why you don't like it.
Well, stuff like that in San Andreas spiced up the gameplay a bit and made it much different from vice city. I don't understand why you don't like it.
It didn't spice up anything, it just added a bunch of unnecessary crap that was just annoying. [editline]20th January 2012[/editline] GTA is not an RPG game and it does not need RPG mechanics.
they said they won't add that RPG stuff back and that it was a test. chalked it up as a learning experience
they said they won't add that RPG stuff back and that it was a test. chalked it up as a learning experience
good
Then why not use the cheat code that disables that?
Because I don't want to use cheats? I shouldn't have to use cheats to avoid a dumb and annoying gameplay mechanic.
they said they won't add that RPG stuff back and that it was a test. chalked it up as a learning experience
:/ Oh well. Hopefully there will be mods for gta v where it will have it.
:/ Oh well. Hopefully there will be mods for gta v where it will have it.
That's not really something you can just mod in.
Because I don't want to use cheats? I shouldn't have to use cheats to avoid a dumb and annoying gameplay mechanic.
Since you hate it so much, I'm guessing you didn't play SA that much?
and i definitely agree it didn't add anything at all. a lot of button mashing in the gym so i didn't have to hit people for an hour to actually kill them, that's about it
That's not really something you can just mod in.
Tbh I wont give a fuck if there is a mod for it or not. All I'm saying is that I liked the "rpg" mechanics as u call it.
they are pretty rpg if you ask me. stats that you need to grind to work up
Since you hate it so much, I'm guessing you didn't play SA that much?
I played SA a lot and tried to ignore the RPG shit as much as I could and even then the game would keep pushing that shit in my face.
literally lol. few days not at gym, welcome to obesity land. you cannot sprint for more than 10 seconds and punching is impossible
I just played a pit of San Andreas on PS2. When it loaded CJ was wearing a pink heart boxers and a hockey mask. I had a real lol
he is a black tooty fruity jason!
I played SA a lot and tried to ignore the RPG shit as much as I could and even then the game would keep pushing that shit in my face.
I mean, there could have been more/worse rpg mechanics in sa that are not in the game. Maybe that's why I don't consider the skills as a rpg mechanic. I liked the skills but that annoyed me to lol.
