I thought muscle was a cool thing to increase, that was pretty much optional. That's the one thing I was alright with. I just don't want to have to deal with needing to eat while in the middle of a shootout at a 6-Star wanted level.
plane licenses is pretty RPGish if you ask me (one could argue that it's like a keycard in DooM but it's really quite a lot different). sure it's "realism" or something but this is a game where you sprint 10 miles an hour, can take 20 bullets to the chest, can walk around with a minigun. i dont think realism counts

The muscle thing was pretty cool and your right it was optional. Maybe they can get a way to have the other stuff fat, hunger etc optional to in a way.
I definitely wouldn't mind if they added something, optional, that made you able to gain muscles or stuff
meaning that you don't really need to do it if you don't want to, and you won't lose anything if you don't

That's a good idea.

I got to agree, Plane Licenses is pretty much rediculous in a game where realisim is, for most of the time, thrown out the window.
Guys, why is there an outside gym in the trailer if they won't be adding that stuff back?
Scenery? I don't think so...

How do I install mods in GTA 4?
Quite a few of them use the ASI loader, you have that?
If there's a gym in the game, there'll be a food system. How else would you maintain/lose the muscle you put on? Honestly, it wasn't even that bad having to eat in SA. It took a LONG time before you didn't eat and your fat would be gone and muscle would start draining away. Besides, half the time you're trying to restore your health, you're probably going to to a Burger Shot.
What I did find annoying in SA was that mission where your lung capacity had to be a certain level to do the mission. I had to go out and swim under water (in intervals) for like half an hour to reach to proper level. Things like that should be required for bonus/side missions, maybe, but not the main story stuff.

sparkiv to replace, scripts with xliveless
Well they could just add a muscle system without the hunger system, couldn't they?

maybe, lot of gta san andreas stuff was useless, or at least started to annoy after a while.
but i liked the hair customization, a thing we didnt see in gta iv, but hey, gta v will have weapon customization!

Using steam btw.
And I keep crashing
fuck
[editline]21st January 2012[/editline]
Placed trainertlad, trainer.asi, and trainertlad.asi with ScriptHook.dll and ScriptHookDotNet.asi in my C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV folder, it instantly crashes
unless you're playing Lost and the Damned you don't need trainerlad

which patch are you using dog
I liked the rpg elements to SA.

I think add just as muscle system would be just fine for me. As much as I sorta enjoyed the hunger thing. But I will admit that, the hunger system did piss me off a bit.
I barely noticed the hunger system because I didn't go around punching people
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
the only things that were noticeable were muscles, swimming (for that specific mission) and shooting.

Most of the time when I played SA I ran around punching and killing me people, but I played the story for a bit to. So the hunger system really was noticeable for me.
I only remember getting hungry once in SA.

Did you run around alot and punch people alot?
I liked the rpg elements to SA.
It was fun, but so were the GTAs without the RPG elements too.

Me too, and even then I just went to get some food to restore my health the next time I was hurt. It wasn't much of a pain really.
A health bar is another mechanic I love in GTA. Sure, it's nothing special, lots of games have it, but it's good to have a mainstream game that doesn't have the "bloody screen" effect and regenerating health that Call of Duty and all the other modern games use.

The only reason the screen gets bloody in GTA is because you did something to cause blood to splash up onto it.

That's probably why in IV food is strictly for health restoration, because that's all we ever use it for anyway.

not what I meant
not what I meant
I know what you meant. You meant it doesn't have Call of Duty health-blood screen.
Bloody Screen! SO REAL!!!
Well... At least in IV it is.
