[QUOTE=Cone;33030005]I do feel quite good about my bet the protagonist will die. I just know, at the end of 2012, I'm gonna be qouting this and yelling "THAT'LL BE TWENTY DOLLAS".[/QUOTE] [sp]RDR: your character dies LA Noire: your character dies[/sp] At this point it's becoming a cliche.

[QUOTE=Capitulazyguy;33037826]-spoilers- [/QUOTE] Tag that shit.
[QUOTE=Capitulazyguy;33037826]~I'm a giant dickhead~[/QUOTE] Oh wow it happened in two Rockstar-published games one of which wasn't even developed or written by Rockstar what a cliche it sure has been predictable all those two times.
[QUOTE=M.Ciaster;33038095]Tag that shit.[/QUOTE] OK, sorry
[QUOTE=AmericanInfantry;33026305]If the game involves money, it has to have this song on the radio. [video=youtube;JkhX5W7JoWI]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkhX5W7JoWI[/video][/QUOTE] Or, you know... [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON-7v4qnHP8[/media]
If it does take place out west I wonder if we will see Packie
I would like London again. That would be great!
[QUOTE=Kecske;33037215]That it wouldn't be so much different than Liberty City.[/QUOTE] It would be a dirtier, more run down LC. not completely run down, but if your not in the main tourist section of chicago they things get much less well kept up. Not to mention the thriving hispanic and asian parts of town.

[QUOTE=fear me;33011701]That could work, but I'd honestly like another big 90's game. In my opinion.[/QUOTE] I want fucking Guns 'n Roses and Nirvana on the radio.

Niko Bellic was an awesome protagonist. In fact, main protagonists were pretty impressive dudes, except maybe Liberty City Stories, that Tommy Cipriani. The dude was cool, but somewhat [i]not as cool[/i]. And i want them to expand the girlfriend thing, perhaps adding some quicktime action events for the "hot coffee" parts :v:
[QUOTE=Baldr 2.0;33045073]What I really liked about GTA III was the songs made for the game or the bands to small to be noticed[/QUOTE] That would be Head Radio and Lips-106. I love both of those stations, despite not liking pop much. [editline]30th October 2011[/editline] [QUOTE=Kommunist;33045123]Niko Bellic was an awesome protagonist. I really hope they bring back the San Andreas/Red Dead Redemption safehouse style, where you can buy various homes around the land. Having safehouses handed to me through story missions in GTA 4 wasn't as fun.

Having safehouses handed to me through story missions in GTA 4 wasn't as fun.[/QUOTE] What was really annoying about GTA IV safehouses, was that you lost your first safehouse relatively early, and you were never able to get another on the first island. Being able to buy one, even if it was a crummy little apartment would have been great.
[QUOTE=Brakke;33043422]I would like London again. That would be great![/QUOTE] 'again' if I hear this word one more time I will punch a kitten
The entire state of San Andreas just seems to vast to be tackled when considering how much effort is put into a city. A Washington-esque city would just be too much like LC. And Vice City wouldn't work in this time of age because it was the 1980s culture, the music especially, which made that game so golden. So I'm guessing this will take place in Las Venturas (you know, that upper 1/3 of San Andreas).
To be honest, even after all this talk about "one definite setting", or "one definite time era", I still absolutely WON'T doubt multiple locations, and perhaps even multiple time settings.
[QUOTE=kevlar jens;33046077]A Washington-esque city would just be too much like LC.[/QUOTE] I've been to New York and I've been to DC and I can say they both have a different feeling to them. DC feels more laid back, it's more spaced and open, the skyline is very flat compared to NYC.
[QUOTE=Mr. Someguy;33046297]the skyline is very flat compared to NYC.[/QUOTE] It legally has to be. [URL]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heights_of_Buildings_Act_of_1910[/URL] Buildings can't be more than 110 ft tall.

I wouldn't mind seeing the character customization making a return, I loved how in San Andreas you could change weight and body muscle, there was a huge lack of customization in GTA 4. By 'huge lack of customization' I mean there was none. In my opinion most of the clothes were pretty shite too,
[QUOTE=LegndNikko;33046428]...Why?[/QUOTE] Because they wanted Washington to feel more like a European city, and because they wanted the important buildings like the Capitol to stand out on the skyline instead of being obscured by high-rises.
I'd like a GTA that isn't just set in the city, maybe a country/small town setting for parts, so you can go between cities.
I'd rather they put all their effort into creating a huge, believable city like gta 4 than make a giant state with 3 decent but not great cities.
[QUOTE=imaguy;33047373]I'd rather they put all their effort into creating a huge, believable city like gta 4 than make a giant state with 3 decent but not great cities.[/QUOTE] I'd say half and half would be good.
