I just thought of this seeing as there's this First Response mod for 4, so they could expand on this and make it an interesting system, like side missions.
I like this idea. At least as part of the story line, a character with power gives your vigilante authority so you don't attract police and you can arrest someone, throw them in the back of your car, then drive them into the lake. :D
I've noticed that in pre IV GTA games, it's more fun going around killing people. Why? Well, IV is sometimes so realistic that you feel bad :v: At least I do. I can't wait to see how V will be like.
You have to go to confession every time you kill somebody.

Walking inside the hospital guns blazing, crippling poeple and brutally finishing them off while they're crying in argony, shooting anyone who tries to crawl away in this process. I tought it was way more statisfying than the fixed death animation in prior GTA's.
Also when you're shooting the cops, unlike older GTA's, you're not forced to kill them in order to dismantle them.

I loved the way you could fatally injure cops, and you didnt have to kill them, i also used to love toying around with my 'victims', i.e shooting them in the legs, watching them crawl, then knifing them or w/e
A lady is on a phone in an alleyway. What do i do? I stabbed her multiple times. She was crying in pain.
I shot her a little when her health was low. I final hit and punch to the face. She looked at me in sorrow when she was falling to the ground. She closed her eyes, And hit the ground, hip first. When she was at the ground her eyes opened with gleam. I could tell she was saying "WHYYYY?"
AND NOT A SINGLE FUCK WAS GIVEN THAT DAY!
And thus we further prove how creepy and disturbing it is to actually put what you enjoy doing in GTA games into words.
It seemed like a good idea at the time.
GTA IV; Sociopath Simulator
I always avoided killing people in missions when I had the choice to spare their lives.
I always avoided killing people in missions when I had the choice to spare their lives.
I killed playboy X and that one serbian guy.
I hope any choices mean more this time, in GTA IV it always felt like it wasn't a case of what you prefer, more a case of a "right" and "wrong" choice.
Dwayne vs Playboy for example, siding with Dwayne was the best choice in pretty much every way.
I want choices that can actually bite you in the ass or majorly help you
Grand Theft Auto V trailer launches in less than 24 hours!!! XD
ROFL XD
I just hope that in GTA V, we actually have something to do with our obscene amount of money we have by the end of the game.
Maybe like buying and customizing our own cars, set with an odometer and everything to track the mileage. Or maybe buying houses and mansions that we can park our vehicles, unlike in gtaIV you only had two spaces for two parked vehicles through various places around the map, that was uncool.
It just has to feel more like your player character actually OWNS something in the GTA universe, and isn't just floating from one mission to the next.
ROFL XD
Shut up
woah what the fuck

You sound like Eddie Low.
How long have you guys spent on IV?
Personally,

+ 17 hours of EFLC
I have 76 hours of EFLC with probably about 150-200 on GTAIV (my GTAIV is non-steam so I can't tell for sure).
If money is a major theme like people seem to be implying, I expect a full-on property investment system with purchasable and assets, including safehouses.
Vice City Stories had exactly that! you could purchase property and upgrade to different forms of crime such as a gambling racket, drugs and so on and you would get a daily take if it. You could also buy houses so I am hoping for the same in Grand Theft Auto V.

That's not a lot tbh.I don't have it on steam (bought retail version, can't register it because of gfwl :( ) but I have around 400.I saw people with over 1000, but I'm sure that there are people with over 3000hrs :v:
Also, can't wait.19hrs left
I have 13 hours, but I got it during the last day of the Sale a few weeks ago.
I am expecting a V-MP (MultiPlayer modification, like SA-MP and IV-MP) in 1,5 year after the PC release, because i've had 3,5 more years fun on the San Andreas multiplayer mod (including MTA).
A long-ass time on Xbox.

IV has been out for about 3 years and IV-MP only started getting off the ground. It's still very buggy, from what I understand.

SA-MP was fucking amazing.I've spent so many hours on it.Good ol' times.
I played mostly on AU or CnR.Both are still pretty popular
Me too, I must have logged thousand of hours just playing SA-MP and MTA.
I hope rockstar will include pawn/lua scripting for multiplayer on release.
Custom scripting shows off: the 5 years old SA-MP/MTA community is literary 1000X larger than the GTA IV one.

I actually kind of want to get a PSP and VCS to play that, sounds fun.
I hope things are really customisible , cars, appearances, actual face etc, but there would be too much stir about copying off Saints Row 3 :(
