It'd be funny if they put the dog in at the start of the trailer as a joke to make fun of the people who thought there was a dog in the San Andreas trailer.
Seeing how it's also on a beach, it's probably a nod to it.
Does anyone have any idea what the song that that was used in the trailer?

i like how they are mixing the realism of gta iv with the fun of gta san andreas
Er...how do you know they are? We haven't seen much yet.

Because San Andreas
And Rage engine for realism
I could be wrong, but when the protagonist is talking about settling down it sounds far less like he's talking about his life as it is and more like he's recently moved to the city and into a big house and plans to marry and have kids. Would like to give up a his life of crime. More like he's talking about how he wants his future his kids to do and be things.
And then as he says "You know how it is" it cuts to him taking part in an armed robbery as if he would but he can't help it for whatever reason.

I thought for a second he was talking about how things were but it became pretty evident he's just talking about his dreams when he got there. Obviously they went down the shitter.
Just noticed that there's a really awesome heat-haze in the trailer around the 10 second mark (when the guys are jogging by the beachside. Looks really awesome.

What's this about animal skinning?
Fuck em all! Whip out your dick and piss all over them!
Postal and GTA are very different games.

Didn't San Andreas have that?

Fairly certain heat haze was in IV. It was also in SA... Maybe VC?
Fairly certain heat haze was in IV. It was also in SA... Maybe VC?
But was it that pronounced. I know they had some effects in IV, but that one is really obvious. It makes me feel hot just looking at it.
Would be awesome if they brought back the whole "Buy a property, comes with a tiny story and three to five missions, generates money/gives you cool shit when you finish them" thing from Vice City.
Didn't San Andreas have that?
San Andreas had heat haze every-damn-where. Seriously man. It was intense.
You'd think it wouldn't be hard at all, but all 14 games in the Grand Theft Auto franchise have all suffered the "invulnerable trees" issue.
We can tear down lamp posts in most cases with various objects. It only makes sense to move onto trees.
Judging by the trailer I dont think that we will see San Andreas in its old shape... Oil pumps directly near Los Santos? I think they restructured the whole thing, made it smaller but added way more detail, just like Liberty City.

Pretty sure Liberty City was made bigger in IV.
May 24th, I'm pretty sure it's the release date, it was in TBoGT, it's seen twice in this trailer, and the song used in the trailer was released on May 24 decades ago.
Where? Also I wouldn't put it past Rockstar to do something like that.
I can just imagine going up to that building in Downtown Los Santos, the one where the parachute spawned, only to find a sign saying "Looking for something?"
I hope they've made more advances with the Euphoria engine, RDR had better Euphoria animations than GTA IV so this next version 'ought to be orgasmic.
I haven't been this excited about a GTA game since San Andreas. Back when I was younger, I went over to my neighbour's house, take out her brother's PS2 to play GTA3 almost every day of life, we would have turn about with tanks and cheats and stuff and it was so much fun. Then her brother borrowed Vice City from a friend, and I was over every day to play that too. Then, I was so excited for San Andreas. But my friends brother told her not to tell me that he had bought it, so that he could actually get a chance to play.
So I got a new friend to play San Andreas with, and after months of me spending every waking moment playing his copy of SA, he bought me it for my birthday. So, GTA is pretty big part of my childhood, especially San Andreas.
So, how many times have you guys watched the trailer. I must have watched it about 30 - 40 times by now. I am so excited.

Perhaps there's just an energy crisis or something and they need to move everything closer.

On the tail of the plane as it departs for San Andreas at the end of the game.
Og loc, best GTA character ever.
I hope we can go all the way to CJ's neighborhood. Or even inside his house to find some sort of easter egg.
TBoGT was really good
I'm really glad the protagonist isn't a hispanic youth. In fact this could be the most interesting protagonist yet, seeing as he's most likely already lived a life of crime, as opposed to being a newcomer.
he is hispanic?
I'm hoping for more humor at the same time as an engaging plot. A nice balance of wacky fun and dramatic stories. TBoGT come's to mind. The only other thing I really want is a Military Presence, and the appearance of fighter jets seems to confirm that.
