Just a couple of thoughs on GTA V trailer. First of all I loved how they built tension about in which city the game is set in, right in first scenes. When I saw the beach, I was one hundred percent sure it's Vice City, but then that Los Santos skyline showed up. Clever.
Second, I was really surprised Packie isn't main character. Why all that "Packie getting on the plane" stuff in TBoGT's credits? I wonder how it will come into play in V's storyline. But from those few hints about V's story and main character we got from the trailer, I'm not disappointed. I like the fact the we will not be getting another rags to riches story. I also like that the protagonist is middle-aged retiring mobster rather than another 25 year old gangster on the rise. But maybe we'll get that too if the multiple protagonists thing turns out to be true.
Right now I doubt that we'll get more than Los Santos and some countryside. I don't think that it's possible to pull off the whole San Andreas on the scope of GTA IV's Liberty City on current generation consoles. In San Andreas, the cities were big, but they still were more like a theme park versions of their real counterparts, while the vibe I got from Liberty City is that it's more like an extremely condensed version of New York, rather than a bunch of sights smashed together. If they want to keep this approach, all cities would have to be at least as big as Liberty City.
All in all, I loved everything about it.
I might as well start the good ol' traditional:
PC VERSION!!

CJ was the worst character in the entire series. And I'm not just talking about playable characters.
joggers confirmed

I like all the side characters though. They were funny and creative
Cars confirmed

LOCLOCLOCLOCLOCLOCLOCLOC
Like, CJ was just a stereotypical black gangster they slapped into a GTA. Tommy Vercetti and Niko Bellic were the best thought out. An offshoot of Scarface (fuck yes) and a Serbian immigrant chasing the American dream. FUCK YES
Glocks confirmed
There are phone numbers quite a few places, perhaps you could buy a house over the phone.
Having Planes would be awesome. I missed those from San Andreas.
Holy shit, I just noticed you can see the cars moving in the background...
Dat draw distance.
[sp]Unless it's an effect[/sp]
No they used that same effect in GTA 4
No they used that same effect in GTA 4
It was more of in the form of oil painting, than heat.
I honestly forgot the correct terms for those two things.
I am so glad to see the color return to this series, gta4 was a let down for me just for the fact it suddenly went from funny and colorful to meh and brown. Five looks like everything I want from a GTA game.
Edit: O hey, I hit 200 posts :v:
Does anyone here want more than 3 pistols? Glock, M1911, Revolver, Desert Eagle, the Colt from GTA 3, M9, same for all weapon types?

Look how his shirt is positioned in frame. Advertising a specific gym, Gyms are clearly confirmed as back guys.
It'd be cool if they would pull off the same kind of size as San Andreas, but those pesky consoles are always in the way of progress.
IGN's rewind thing was pretty stupid
it's obvious the guy in the red car isn't the same guy running through the alleyway being chased by the cops, the guy in the car doesn't have tattoos all over his arm
also they said you can't see the guy in the red car well in the car chase scene yet earlier in the trailer you see the SAME EXACT FUCKING CAR WITH THE SAME GUY IN IT AND HE'S TRYING TO IMPRESS THAT CHICK
[editline]3rd November 2011[/editline]
also why is everyone assuming the guy talking is married and/or has kids?
the way he talks about the kids and being a family guy is all with future tense, it sounds like he WANTS a family, not that he has one
[editline]3rd November 2011[/editline]
also no one has mentioned that the bags they are carrying in the scene with the van and the AK's are the exact same models as the bag you carry in the bank robbery scene in GTA IV
[editline]3rd November 2011[/editline]
also did anyone notice that the blue truck in the background at 53 seconds is speeding through that intersection, it nearly hits 2 cars that stop just in time
I think they're going to intersect the storylines of all the PC-candidates like in GTA IV with the DLC.
I know many of you could think the same idea and some may have posted it back then but if there are jets in the game, that means that GTA V's map is going to be huge. Also, I kind of predict there will be flights available or we can fly to other cities outside of GTA V's city. Because the trailer was it's first, it could have only shown us a small aspect of a future record-breaking-sales game.
On another point, I am going to love the different protagonists that we can play within the game all with different experiences.
Best GTA yet
Hope they optimize this for the PC better.

How do you know there's going to be different protagonists? It's all speculation.
Personally, I'd love to play as that middle aged guy.
It would be pretty cool if it was Tommy Vercetti, but I doubt it.
I hope they still have the Euphoria Engine.
And I don't really like the graphics. Too much contrast, I think this one has better graphics (iCEnhancer mod)

You think that might be Jefferson Motel in north-east L.S?
