Grand Theft Auto V

I think the world is smaller just because Rockstar is putting more detail, more physics objects, more people, more vehicles in it. They couldn't really do that with the same scale if it was even [I]bigger[/I] than the size of San Andreas. Red Dead Redemption was so big it spilled into another country, but there was very little power being put into rendering tons of pedestrians, lights, and vehicles. It was more just rendering trees and the few towns that were interlaced. When I play on the 360, I could tell RDR was struggling a couple of times with high-action scenes in the city with horses and a lot of pedestrians.

It's pretty ignorant to blame consoles. I think this is just more of a quality/quantity thing.

I have a massive fucking hard on for fantasy, I just love the shit, and GTA's modern open world fun... both are just amazing looking games hands down.

On a related note, can someone explain to me why Liberty City as a game location is so wanked over and has kept getting featured? Is LC so loved because nostalgia? Thing is, if they JUST focused on Los Santos, all their energy would be put towards making it an awesome replica of L.A. Whereas in San Andreas, all 3 cities were hastily put together copies, none of which felt too special.

This Los Santos looks godly, I for one am muchos excited

I agree with that, but I still love the aspect to San Andreas was that you could travel to the other cities any time you wanted. If they separate the cities into different games or something, you lose that awesome aspect to the scope of the game.

I dont know about you, but this time I want to like, see its San andreas, and be able to comparelocations to the game San andreas. It would be cool if they showed what happened to serval areas after the events of SA and added new areas aswell!

They're never going to do that until release. It's still going to be very fluid, and they probably haven't even made one yet.

If it follows the route GTA 4 took, it may take place in a different canon than GTA SA. Hopefully not, though, it'd be fun to see what's happened since the 90's, and if Big Smoke made Cluckin' Bell bankrupt.

Can you people stop ignoring official statements about the series and making shit up? NO OLD CHARACTERS WILL EVER BE RETURNING. None of the things we saw in the pre-GTAIV games exist anymore, none of those characters exist.
