http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIqaO48A48s# From the KRI game show.
The FPS looks shitty yet again and the machines they use at those kind of places are usually very high end... if the game comes out running at 20fps max settings on a GTX285 i'm not buying it or anything else they release ever again.
They should remove that detector bullshit and bring back normal artifacts that are actually possible to find.
are you batshit insane or something
The artifacts don't respawn in CS, they are hardcoded into the maps. If they can make them respawn within the anomalies I'll be happy.

I think you can mod clear sky to do this.
Maybe you guys should know something about the game before making such wild statements artifacts respawn in vanilla Clear Sky after about fourteen in-game days
I wasn't to impressed with the KRI screenshots. They were kinda low quality so I can't judge to quickly. This still looks like it will be better than Clear Sky. I just want more re-playability. After I beat CS, I never touched the game again. After I beat SoC, I kept on playing it even up to today. If they can make me want to play CoP again and again then they have made a successful game to me.
what the hell marked one
what the hell marked one
Marked One, what the hell?! :eng101:
God they still have that annoying iron sight sway when you look down your sights and strafe.
Cool, they've added wearable gasmasks, the ability to equip two primary weapons, new hud, and quick use keys for equipment (antirads).
Cool, they've added wearable gasmasks, the ability to equip two primary weapons, new hud, and quick use keys for equipment (antirads).
But I want new weapons :( And vehicles.
But I want new weapons :( And vehicles.
Chances are they'll add a few new weapons.
Chances are they'll add a few new weapons.
I want as many weapons as OL!
I want as many weapons as OL!
I'd prefer quality over quantity. The Arsenal weapons all had more or less the same set of animations.
Or at least vehicles! At least it gives us protection and get to the location we want faster!
Stalker was going to use vehicles, great fun they are.
I'd prefer quality over quantity. The Arsenal weapons all had more or less the same set of animations.
Actually I have been playing with arsenOL for a very long time now and I still come accros some new weapon I've never before seen. It is full of lovely little surprises, and I would very much like a vivid range of weaponry; adds to the realism.
Stalker was going to use vehicles, great fun they are.
very fun when you drove into an anomaly and was launched several kilometres into the air... that was actually pretty fun.
They put guides in CS to do just that.
But, sometimes, there are bugs and they say nothing. I rather have vehicles.
I fail to spot the CryEngine
I fail to spot the CryEngine
this isn't stalker 3
I fail to spot the CryEngine
there is no cryengine
this isn't stalker 3
I thought they would use the CryEngine on the next Stalker. Who let that one out?!
are you batshit insane or something Maybe you guys should know something about the game before making such wild statements artifacts respawn in vanilla Clear Sky after about fourteen in-game days
True but only the hard core kids notice this. I usually finish in about 3-5 game days or something I think. Hoping this shit isn't so RPG-esque... I really hated that your gun couldn't shoot shit unless it was upgraded and same with your armour.
I loved the upgrade system actually, added more depth but didn't compromise the game. And it was nice finding unique weapons.
I thought they would use the CryEngine on the next Stalker. Who let that one out?!
an aprils fools joke did.
an aprils fools joke did.
Exactly. I've said before and I'll say it again, any rumors about the next STALKER using any version of Cryengine have proven to be hoaxes. It's not going to happen. EDIT More shaky cam pics, including a picture of the specs of the PC they're running it on. The translation isn't so good, but check out the pics: http://translate.google.es/translate?prev=hp&hl=es&js=n&u=http://www.gameru.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=24544&sl=ru&tl=en&history_state0=
Well, that was great, I just hope I don't have to upgrade my computer for the game >:( Also new healing system sounds really good.
I loved the upgrade system actually, added more depth but didn't compromise the game. If I have the mechanic install that upgrade, I want to physically see it on my weapon model.
Game World Navigator's interview with Oleg Yavorsky at KRI 2009, with gameplay footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxqVA11rZU0&fmt=18 Transcript: Translation: Speaking about gameplay in general, we expect it to take about seven hours to pass the main storyline and, maybe, twenty-twenty-five hours for free gameplay. In addition, I can tell you that after the game ends, there will be the possibility of remaining there. Not end the game, but continue in free-play mode. There will be a minimum of underground locations. That is, you will mainly run around over the motherland. There will be a kind of caves, some underground mini-levels, but it will make up, maybe, five percent. Anomaly locations will change somewhat after blowouts. Also, artifacts will regenerate, since our good NPCs will go around in squads and collect them. That is, the player will compete with stalkers in who collects more artifacts. We changed all the monsters a bit. That is, we tried to make combat against them more interesting than it was previously. All monsters will become more mobile, more diverse in their behaviour, their habits. For instance, chimera, fairly harmless during the day, will become quite challenging to fight at night, when all monsters activate. Therefore, every monster has to be seen, understood, studied to find an effective measure against. The main difference of quests in Call of Pripyat will be in that they no longer regenerate automatically, as they have been previously. They are crafted by designers in advance. This makes each scene unique, makes it more presentable and interesting for the player. For instance, there could be a quest to... [you will find out what kind of quest there could be in the June issue of "Game World Navigator"]
PS. The guy playing in the video has invincibility enabled.
I loved the upgrade system actually, added more depth but didn't compromise the game. And it was nice finding unique weapons.
I loved the idea of kitting out your gun, sure... but it was like... +180% accuracy, +100% flatness etc... so your gun went from a pea shooter into a full automatic sniper rifle. Then you had your gun jam every 1-2 rounds anyway... shit that was fucking annoying... unless you were using the shotgun - then you wanted it to jam just so you could bug it out and load all your shells into it. I had a SPAS12 loaded with 500 shells once.
