Meh, I'll stick with my Fallout 3. Same shit, but fun.
No, not at all.
The website - whose name my keyboard just can't reproduce
Eh? Maybe a link then?
So rumor has it there are 2 stalker games in the works.
1. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat
Possibly to finish/end the Clear Sky and Shadow of Chernobyl story.
2. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Echo
Possibly a new game with a different engine (rumor its using CryEngine 2)
and maybe a new story not related to the other games.

One of these might be previously known as stalker 3: Apocalyptic.

I posted this in the STALKER megathread a few days ago, this seems better as more people are posting about it than on the thread.
Hopefully they will decide to bug test this for more than a week this time and they better not take anything out!
I miss the old STALKER forum.
I hope even when part 2 isn't connected to part 1 they keep the rusty taiga setting
Less loading screens and less bugs please GSC.
Oh god please stick with X-ray engine. It completely nailed the atmosphere and lighting, it's given STALKER it's niche look.
Am I the only person here who thinks the Cry-engine would be a fucking HORRIBLE choice?

Me.
Unless they heavily modify it, then it may be suitable. But it needs to be heavily modified (adding more grey, black and brown would be a good start).
Of course it would be best if they continued with their own engine, but they probably won't.
They should hire modders, like creative assembly.
My friend is such a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan that he actually wrote a short story for English class that was essentially copypasta from the game. Looks like he'll have another source of material now!
I did that...for my exam.
Hey it worked.

How well did you score.
How well did you score.
I forget...I did really well in my exams though, just failed the coursework, though wasn't entirely my fault.
Also I'm not really sure what to think about these new Stalker releases, I really liked Clear Sky, though I didn't get any of the glitches that other people got.
I used to write stories based on videogames too (when I was younger, they don't have us write stories at school anymore).
Thanks to Farcry I got a 9 (second highest mark possible, it went from 1 to 10), and I've got many other high marks thanks to stories taken (and modified a bit) from other videogames too.
Guys, unless you are/ can speak good Russian then stop telling them what to do, they don't give a shit what English fans think. All there feedback so far has come from Russian territories, which is a shame.
I always seems to fail badly when I add video games plot into stories. I tried adding world in conflict to my story, and it failed. :(

Well there is a STALKER themed Crysis mod that looks all dark and atmospheric.
I have REALLY got to finish STALKER
I have REALLY got to play STALKER.

It's not the engine, it's the textures and lighting and shit like that. Personally, i think CryEngine would be great if used properly.

What if it's really broken Russian?
Hot damn.
Edit:
Off I go to install Clear Sky again.

Yes you are.
Just because you think of CryEngine as bright and colourful doesn't mean it is for every single use. The cold atmosphere is great in the later levels of Crysis.
The Cryengine can be modded to look like X-ray engine. The x-ray engine is horribly unstable, why do you think it crashes so often?

It crashed about 3 times when I played trough it, so it's more stable for me than the Cryengine, which crashed around 5 or more times.
