S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is such a classic for some reason. It may be buggy and corny in some places, but it just has... it... which makes it a classic. It's amazing. I wish more games these days had... it... in it, innit.

THEY BETTER ADD SOME GODAMNED STEALTH ASPECTS. I hate trying to sneak up on someone in the absolute dark and he would still know I was there. Other than that, I just hope they do the usual: ween out glitches, optimize the graphics.

Many a time i've tried to sneak past a squad, and when I think I've gotten past them they all suddenly start shooting at me, makes me shit my pants. Im really hyped for this. Lets hope for a xmas release/Early next year.

Was there ever a mod to make the people die within...one clip? I mean, hell, I can't count how many times I've shot someone in the face with a slug (an action that should have ripped part of their skull out) and then they keep on shooting at me like nothing happened.

Really? Maybe their hitboxes were off? You know what one of the greatest things about STALKER Clear Sky was? Night time. Even though it was hard as hell to sneak up on someone, it was so great putting your flashlight out and taking pot shots at people down the road that still had their flashlights on and then watching the flashlights go apeshit as they tried to fire back at you. I mean, seriously, they game had the deepest level of darkness of any game I've ever played, and it was a nice refresher from games that consider it night time to look like your on a hollywood movie set.

I guess I should play SoC so I'll understand the story in Pripyat.
Use the fucking source engine, that solves all problems. It has decent graphics and you don't need a super computer to use it unlike the X-Ray engine which I can barley run.

Stop complaining and get a better computer or don't play it. I also don't see how people can't sneak past enemies I always can and thats on the hardest difficultly.

What's this super computer you're talking about?
I really like X-Ray's lighting and shadows. The textures could be a bit more detailed (Nothing S.H.A.R.P.E.R. and weapon pack didn't fix). What the X-Ray engine needs: seamless level transaction - so we don't need to see any loading screen; or, if we do, it will be a second of frozen movement camera but no instant change in immediate surroundings. However, I wouldn't give up X-Ray for my life unless they can copy that amazing lighting to the CryEngine 2 (I could see it being done really well on that engine, since it has so many features, but it wouldn't be easy to give it the same feel). I liked the move from SoC to CS, but it needed some mods to make it a "upgrade": *I thought the hunting for artifacts was awesome, but since there are so few of them I got a mod to up their value/usefulness. *Faction wars is awesome, but needing to be past a certain quest to join one was annoying. Also they need to add the ability to command some of your faction-mates, and remove the default greeting when you talk to them. (Duty may be all assholish, but Freedom guys I can't see being dismissive of another member). *Also, the ability to start more than just one war would be nice. (Why in the hell do I have to run around the bandits to get to Duty when we could have simply killed them first) *What is the use of having the enemy faction guys respawn (except for loot runs, which I make BANK from) if you gain so little from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ect time you kill their main base. *More freedom from start is needed. (I don't mind a linear main-quest line, but don't keep me from doing cool stuff before I finish x/y/z) [/rant] SoC/CS are fun, and I can't wait to see this next one will bring to the table.
