Because for me, all the time in STALKER, the only time i see a dangerous mutant (well dangerous in the sense of anything more than a boar or a dog), i never have ammo to fight them, resulting in me having to run away like a fag.

How much of a RAM-hog is SGM? I'm only on 2GB of RAM here... If it has high-res textures I hope I can replace them with low-res ones. I'd be playing on static lighting + medium/low draw distance.

I've got 4GB RAM and it uses it all. If you don't have enough, it just puts it into the pagefile and expect months of stutter.

All right, fuck this, I disabled Alpha Squads, extra mutants and NPC grenades. I'm fucking done with them. [I]Why, Alpha Squads are piss eas[/I] [B][U]NO[/U][/B] I was defending Noah's Barge from the horde of mutants and everything was going fairly decently. A few loads were necessary since my scope was too powerful for such short distances and David got killed. I got to the Shevchenko Controller, and then Alpha Squad decides to attack with not just one, but [U]three[/U] individual detachments. One from Shevchenko, one from the Cranes and one from behind the Barge. Fortunately they get mauled by the mutants for the most part and mutants get cheesed by them, but when the Shevchenko squad starts spamming me with hand grenades I just ragequit the whole fucking game. I came back and killed the controller, ran behind the barge and tried to snipe them with my godly M14. Head shots from that thing seem to be hit scan and kill anyone in one shot. Then a fucking chimera and hamsters and snorsks appear out of fucking nowhere, gang-rape me and get me to one health with severe bleeding while the Alpha Commander appears out of nowhere as well. He one-shots me with his faggot VSS and I end up quick-loading for the 57th time. Well, I come back and make the Alphas my top priority. I climb on the barge's tower which is surprisingly bad for cover since their high-calibre rounds drill through the wood. I still manage to kill every last one of them before [U]yet another fucking Alpha Squad appears.[/U] I kill them as well, dropping my M14 in pitiful orange condition and then David dies. Another Alpha Squad appears and somehow manages to throw instantly exploding F1 grenades into the tower. No thank you, Alpha Squads are now going fucking extinct. I've spent the last three hours going around the Zone and hunting the remaining spawns down.

I've spent the last three hours going around the Zone and hunting the remaining spawns down.[/QUOTE] I've yet to rip my hair out in SGM (since I haven't DLed it yet :v:), but fucking hell... when I merged the Redux weapon damages with my version of MSO, every firefight involved NPCs superhumanly spamming me with grenades from long distances, and because of the Redux merge it was pretty much one hit kills. It got so fekking annoying after a while. I did manage to find the file which decided what items NPCs had though, so I restricted grenades to only high-ranking NPCs... and that pretty much fixed it, phew. Also, NPCs love shooting me through the walls in Yanov station. Hell, sometimes they've even fired at me inside the station. Oh by the way, I have your mod merge - it's in .7z format, 900mb. Fucked if I know what my upload speed is, but I might be able to get it uploaded for you on my Dropbox tomorrow. ~ duty 4 lifez ~
