That looks like either a Shell, Battery, or the Shell that can negate thermal damage. But those are those copper disk things, right?
Also, it's interesting to note that the farthest possible place I can go and get a copy of Roadside Picnic from a library is 10600 miles away at Plain Cent. Service in Hindmarsh SA, 5007 Australia. Definitely worth it, be right back.

Well, in the book it's an artifact called an "Empty", but yeah, it was the basis for the design of the Shell.

I'm having trouble finding Mods too now for some reason.
I'd love to try out TFW with that one mod that fixes the ballistic and stuff but I can't seem to find a single link/updated link anymore, probably not searching hard enough.

He's referring to the 2 in "actor_visual_stalker2" which was formerly "actor_visual_stalker3"

Okay, it seems that if I load a save at the CNPP, Clear Sky crashes.
Another ticker to "Why Faction Fronts is a bad mod"-list.
Other faults ibeing that it is literally babby easy, reducing hostile spawns in both the almost non-existent "freeplay" and even the main missions and messing up faction balance totally.
Oh well, time to test PreSky, then!

I'm running it on 3.0 atm, and I haven't had any problems. Except for the fact that the special trader script is bugged and crashes the game, but I don't know if that's because of the merge or just TFW.
