My suit got so badly shredded in SGM that I'm probably just going to sell it and go back to my SEVA suit rather than repair it.
In SGM avoiding getting shot is pretty important. Especially with Alpha Squad, those assholes took my suit down from 100% to ~40% in one firefight

l12u_sarcofag isn't exactly the best level to test performance, I don't think..

I am pretty sure Cameron Sneed, the guy who made Float32, has cancer and that is why he hasn't made anything in the past few years. Let's drink to him once more, he is a good stalker :smith:

Didn't he get arrested for building a miniature nuclear reactor in his kitchen or something?
That does really suck though, but..when it comes to nuclear experimentation, it's something you need to expect.

I remember reading a news article about that. WAS HE THE GUY WHO DID IT?
I thought he was dead?

Buy suit repair kits from the special traders, they may cost 11k, but it saves you shit tons of cash when you need to fix your military Exoskeleton.
I love Docent Suslov's voice actor.
I never understood what it was he said to me when I walked up to him. Still, I love the guy for being such a badass scientist in the Zone. Not like those eggheads who can't get shit done. Clear Sky got theirs on lock.

I'm sorry, but I really find the concept of building a nuclear reactor, by yourself, in your kitchen, to be extremely dumb.
Simply because there's virtually no way you can avoid exposure, resulting in things like the lesions that other dude got, and the cancer Sneed got.
I can't help but feel sorry for him, but it was still a stupid idea to build a nuclear reactor in his home, in my opinion.
Stupid yes. Interesting yes. Learnt his lesson. Most likely. In anycase. I remember that guy. He was....interesting. Oh how I miss the old SOC days. :P
I find the concept fascinating, stupid as hell yeah but its amazing on its own.
Even through it was extremely dumb of him to build a fucking nuclear reactor I have to say that he's probably the only stalker to ever die like a true stalker.
>Playing SGM, get sent to Dark Valley and into X18 to get documents

Bloodsuckers wearing trench coats? Now I've seen everything
That's what happens when Son goes out during a breeding season.
[editline]28th January 2012[/editline]
Also what does it say about them on the looting screen?
Just says they're zombies. Their AI is pretty horrible, but I'm glad it is because 36 of anything is too much in a small place like X18
I literally shat myself when i saw my first Mutant (The one that can cloak)
Uninstalled STALKER afterwards

Your first mutant was a bloodsucker? I highllllllllly fucking doubt that.

Oh boy oh boy, I really want to see you live stream X18.

He probably thought that everyone up to now is an ordinary critter.
I accidentally left X18, and when I re-entered I heard the sounds of many mutants. The ones I could tell apart were pseudodogs, bloodsuckers, snorks, pseudogiants and at least one controller. This is going to be fun
[editline]28th January 2012[/editline]
Whew, most of them killed each other off, I only had to kill about 6 bloodsuckers and a few snorks

Does it still have no real animations like in People Soup?
Does it still have no real animations like in People Soup?
Kinda. I didn't get a good look though, I was too busy running away
[editline]28th January 2012[/editline]
There are two of them, but the second one is with a burer. I was running and shooting at it with a gauss gun, then the asshole burer pops out of nowhere, removes all my stamina and makes me drop my gun, and that thing swipes me twice and I'm dead. It is crazy deadly, I had a military exo with full condition and it killed me that easily

Nah, The People in Chernobyl back in their day had an alpha build.
Fellow S.T.A.L.K.E.Rs, soon enough i will be able to venture out into the Australian zone with a 1942 Tula Mosin Nagant 19/30.
Those blind dingoes and mutated drop bears wont know whats coming to them.
Oh dont forget the snork kangaroos
I am now porting some of my shit from my shaders to BF2 (I don't have 2142) so I can share the love with casuals
Your first mutant was a bloodsucker? I highllllllllly fucking doubt that.
Believe it or not, it's up to you. After travelling around, got killed in the Factory (?) a few times, meeting a few (3) stalkers... i was bored and decided to go to some kind of small canyon that continously shooting radiation out of its crack.. I went to somewhere else, and i heard something strange... i looked around, and see nothing until i realized that there was a cloaking effect that was getting closer and colser..
Shat myself at that moment as i could see it leaping through bushes with very high speed...
And it seemed like human, and a little bulky..
Well I just watched Stalker, the Andrei Tarkovsky film adaptation of Roadside Picnic. I can't believe I didn't watch it sooner, absolutely amazing film and atmospheric to boot.
Although in hindsight I probably should have read Roadside Picnic first.
