Also, [Green]. Your avatar reminds me of those times when my PM folder was filled with requests of the source for my avatars. [editline]30th January 2012[/editline] VERDAMMT DU SVEINHUNDE BROKE MEIN AUTOMERGE
Oh, I love you. Did you know you're cute when you get angry?
;34459770']I'm thinking of Colt 1911 and BM16 for Scout along with Leather Jacket, the Sigerous Mod's revolver which can be ordered from Yanov's vendor and uh... RPG's are really great but also situational. I have one that I upgraded completely to have more reliability, damage, explosion radius and projectile speed as well as flight balance. It's great if I'm outnumbered by Alpha Squad jackasses, which is a good reason to carry a 3 kilogram heavy launcher along with five rockets that weigh one kilo each. I just need to plant two in a single detachment and the remaining survivors are either downed or unhealthy enough to drop with a few 9x39 rounds from my Vintorez.
I think that's a good loadout for a scout, as for a Spy I guess you could give him a Revolver and keep him REALLY light loadout, maybe some gadgets like a timer if playing SGM? I never thought of using an RPG on the Alpha (Alfa) squads. By the time I got around to paying attention to them was after free-play and my SVD Tiger and Barrett 50Cal just ate them all up in 1-2 rounds. I think a Berreta would be better than the colt. Feels more scout...ish. Maybe it's just me?
I'm going to keep playing Stalker with a grenade launcher until I master it.
Honestly. I've never actually got into using RPG's in any Stalker game. Not sure why. I guess I just put it aside and forget about by the time I ever get around to buying the ammo for it. What would a Scout use? Shotgun and a Pistol and really light armor? And a Spy? Pistol?
A scout would use a light SMG, because it's, you know, light. Shotguns are pretty heavy.
A scout would use a light SMG, because it's, you know, light. Shotguns are pretty heavy.
But we're talking TF2 scout here, the one that uses the scattergun. Frankly, nothing like the scattergun exists so I went for a FaN-like option, the long-barreled BM16 or optionally the sawed-off one.
I love the Vintar but I feel TOO godly with them so I always try and stop myself from using them. I think I'm just a bit strange, and I think Sawn off fits better into the roll than the long barreled BM16.
The Scout's pistol is based of a Makarov in design, so just take that and give it the magazine upgrade. The spy would be a Bloodsucker. It even has a backstab (suck) animation! Oh, and play with crosshairs and no ADS unless you're Sniper.
I prefer to leave Crosshairs off entirely, makes me use Ironsights and scopes more. Besides firing from the hip is quite hard to get clean groups with, especially in real life. Makes it feel a bit more immersive. :P
tf2 stylin'

Too bad suppression doesn't really work in most games, since I really like to do that.
Yeah since the introduction of smart cover. Suppressive fire would have been quite a cool feature to include would have mixed well with smart cover I think.
Suppresive fire was sort of used in Army of Two, but that was mainly just to get people shooting at you instead of someone else. Still one of the few games to use a system like that.
Ah yes it was like a "Hot and Cold" Meter, the "hotter" one was the more he was targeted and the other one could slip past almost invisible. It still makes me smile thinking back to the first time I played it through and hear them both referencing the Wu Tang Clan. :D
Also one of them boned a panda apparently
Now that I do not remember....
;34459706']Twenty twenty dollars would in my opinion refer to twenty pieces of 20 dollars. This makes it 20x20 which in turn makes it 400 dollars. Try using an RPG. Shuts them down just as well. Speaking of rocket launchers, I'm thinking of doing a special run for SGM. It means basically adopting the characteristic weapons from a TF2 character (Soldier has Chaser 13 & RPG-7, Spy has the SGM's revolver & combat knife etc.) However, I'm not sure which class to do. Sniper would probably be quite easy, too, but...Idunno, I gotta think about which class to do. Demoman could work with RG-6 and timed explosives :v:
dont forget rocket jumping. You must rocket jump I'm thinking of making a hitler rants video but im not sure if i'll make it S.T.A.L.K.E.R related and if i do, what would i do it about?
I used to be a Soldier like you...until I blew off both of my knees.... Sorry the urge to make a crappy joke was too strong,
Now that I do not remember....
It was one of the few funny bits in the sequel which only like twenty people bought
It was one of the few funny bits in the sequel which only like twenty people bought
I somewhat blanked out the second game. The first I just about remember.
They are Special Forces, and since all had failed he sticked with what they had been teached. Which was creating one/two man patrols and listening posts to create a perimeter around their base. Simply having everyone fortify in the same building and having no idea what's going outside is giving the initiative to the enemy, and making yourself vulnerable to attacks. Atleast, that's how I see it from the military standpoint.
I think that the biggest flaw about his concept of setting up a perimiter was that he wasn't sure what he'll come across. A lot of the scouts weren't prepared for the worst possible situation, and Colonel himself often jumped straight to conclusions without examining the situation properly[sp]like in the Monolith Library[/sp].

I've never really seen a military stalker except Degtyarev. Either you see a soldier or a loner, but I have never come across military's stalker recruits.
;34461573']I've never really seen a military stalker except Degtyarev. Either you see a soldier or a loner, but I have never come across military's stalker recruits.
That's because they all got turned into Snorsks.

[editline]herp[/editline] Oh yeah you mean specifically stalkers that are have been inducted into military ranks and don't have a military rank but instead of a typical stalker name. Well, I recall seeing some of them in Red Forest once (after having been to Pripyat) but I don't think they are really separated from the "normal" Military stalkers in any way except in the lore. I'd assume that when they sign the contract, they're given a military rank just as everyone else.
interesting posts on the last few pages guys
am I a stalker-bro yet?
am I a stalker-bro yet?
Da. Now go get me a Firefly. Speaking of which, I broke rank of 2500 in SGM, got Thunderstorm and cheated myself 3000 DumDum rounds. Eaaaaaaaaasy money. I feel cheap, though. Kills the immersion.
