I suppose I'll do that, then. I saved near him against my usual rules but I was about to quit playing for the day and didn't want to lose the stalkerbro just because of that.
It's kind of curious though : I threw at him a shotgun with exactly three buckshot rounds loaded into it and he switched back to the knife after firing those three rounds so that lends credibility to the statement that the NPCs do NOT have infinite ammunition (at least in Misery, apparently). IIRC someone said that they generate ammo over time though.
I think you should ask him to go to Skadvosk with you since he is so prone to being attacked.
I'm still flummoxed by this SGM quest with the detector. Apparently some strange things happen after an eclipse and I should find these things using "Seraphim." Sadly, I haven't had much success. Any tips how to finish this damned quest?

There are Alphas in Pripyat but they're sadly really static and jerk off in their little corners, not moving much.

Yeah, I remember making them hostile to Duty, Freedom and free stalkers so that it'd be a little more fair fight.
The Alphas just wiped the floor with every faction and basically emptied Jupiter of all neutral-friendly stalkers.

Wow SGM is downright retarded in some spots. I'm helping defend Clear Sky against mutant and the last wave is [b]awful[/b]. There's 7-8 snorks and 2-3 bloodsuckers, but what sucks is that they can kill you or almost kill you but give you heavy bleeding in one hit. So there's literally no way I can pass this mission, since the clear sky guys die pretty fast. I'm wearing a fully upgraded army exo with 95% condition, and they still somehow manage to kill me in one hit

When I did that quest two heavily armed Duty squads were slightly further down the train line and took care of most of the mutants for me. What weapons are you using?

I actually jumped on top of the derailed wagon a bit ahead from the tunnel and started killing the mutants before they even got near the Dawn members. The Pseudogiant was probably the toughest enemy, but all you need to do is spam all your shotgun ammo, pull your backup and run back to the Dawn members. If it's crawling at that point, shoot it as fast as you can and the Dawn members should take it down.

Try the other Striker/Protectra/Eliminator that Owl and Hawaiian sell. With tactics and all upgrades it's got something like a 16 round magazine, it OHKs anything weaker than a bloodsucker, and it's got decent range. Packing an RPG with 5 or so rockets might not be a bad idea either.

I've already killed the pseudogiant controller and burer with a gauss, but it ran out of ammo. I guess the gauss gun can use 5.45X39 ammo now :v:

Btw this is the Clear Sky in the Army Warehouses, NOT in the tunnel in Jupiter. And I'm starting to think that Clear Sky is supposed to be wiped out, as the mutants keep spawning and spawning until every Clear Sky dude in the base is dead. Oh well, more loot for me :v:
