There's a lot more of that delicious "scavenging feel" that really gives the atmosphere a big boost. That's why (among other reasons) it's very unfortunate the death of WotW basically deprived us from getting a STALKER-mod / game set in 2010 or earlier. There'd be less gun dealers and the stalkers would largely have to rely on inadequate equipment like old style gas masks, suits without proper anomaly protection, no anomaly detectors and so forth. Automatic weapons would be pretty scarce and instead you'd see more bolt-action rifles and break-action shotguns instead of all flavors of NATO tactilollery STALKER's endgame has currently. The game world has also been largely established right now so we'd have to get a new prequel like Clear Sky to do that.

Can't fucking wait for Lost-Alpha.

The cave is only hard because it's super confusing when you first do it. However, the longer you keep playing and the more you progress, the longer maps will take to load. At first they take ~2 minutes for me, then after I finish X16 they get upwards of 5 minutes...

Well, I've done The Soup, AMK, and LURK to death. Is there anything else worth doing for SoC?

You just have to get 32 gigs of ram, put the entire game in a ramdisk and there you go, better loading times.
