Stalker designer jeans, what is the world coming to?
Two hundred fifty dollars for a pair of nerdy, and actually pretty ugly, pants. Haha, sorry - NOPE.

i thought freedom was the stoner faction.
Continued playing TFW in to the early hours of the night yesterday, tried to push in to the Red Forest with a squad of mercs. Before we moved through the far outpost and in to the forest, I decided that it'd be best if I gave my squad some half decent weapons. I dropped downa few partially upgraded grozas' and a SGI, as well as some ammo and medkits. Once they'd all been picked up, we headed off.
I didn't really think we'd be in much danger, to be honest. We fought through a few mutants and monolith patrols, and quite quickly made it in to the Devilish Camp in the center of the red forest.
Once there, shit hit the fan. We got hit by a monolith patrol, just as we were getting fucked up by a chimaera and some other mutants which had come out of the forest. I wasn't worried, I knew that my exo wearing companion mercbros would keep my ass covered. Then I realized that I'd told them to wait at the far outpost, when I was gearing up the squad. They didn't follow me through the map change.
The five of us got pretty much raped. We took down the bloodsucker(s?) before they got close enough to do much harm, but then the chimaera jumped right in to the middle of us, and practically began tearing us all new assholes. I started spraying everywhere with my own groza, but to no avail. I was getting eaten alive by the Chimaera, and I was spamming the quick-medkit button for my life. Then the last one of the merc bros I'd geared up pulled out a fucking PKM. I have no idea when he had picked that up, probably at some point during my first few hours of TFW, when a loner was sellingh one and then suddenly died in agroprom due to a mutant attack.
He opened up and filled that fucker with lead as I ran out of medkits, and then turned and started to mow down the approaching monolith while I reloaded my flimsy as fuck makrov pistol. Before I could even squeeze the trigger, he had laid waste to a whole squad of monolith with that thing. Then, as if nothing had happened, he started dragging the corpses of his former squadmates just outside of the camp, stopping to empty the pockets of the monolith who had murdered his kin.
Being the middle of the night, and having no ammo for my Groza, I decided to camp out with my new found hero, Seva. He sat down at the campfire and pulled out a guitar, and the second thing he played was 'He was a good stalker.'
Bro 4 lyfe.

They are (in CS) but Bandits has pot leaves on inscribed on their backpacks.

In the Zone, people can't really be picky about what they use. I'm surprised I never saw barbie backpacks or multicolored sweaters with "I'M HOMOSEXUAL' inscribed on them during my travels.

Tarkzan?
Tarkzan?
Tarks better appear in S2. It looks like a cool concept, and adds a further variety to the Zone's ecology, and the makes us question just how much further the mutations can go.

and mutated bears as tough- no, tougher than pseudogiants and more agile.

Mutant bears would probably the coolest mutant addition for me. No idea how they'd function, though. I highly doubt however, that behavioural patterns of a regular bear would be applicable in the Zone of Alienation.
they shouldn't be nearly as tough as pseudogiants either
somewhere between a boar and a chimera

More of a nuisance for the unprepared stalker?
yeah, i see them as a pretty tough mutant who can take a few shots to put down, and will fuck you up if it gets close.

Some information on the current state of ecology on the wikipedia page in the Zone. It's pretty cool to read up on these kind of things.

I am aware of the fact that the Emission in 2006 could have changed matters.
If the next STALKER has bears, they better be like real bears. I could either take my chances trying to kill one or I could make loud noises to scare it off.

Playing dead is a cowardly tactic, but a tactic nevertheless. But real stalkers fight threats.
Devs of Lost Alpha say that the mod is going to be released within the 6 months.
There better be no fucking setbacks this time.
I think it depends on the faction. Duty would see it their...duty to rid the world of the zone so they would kill the bears. Freedom wants the zone to be open to the world and they would try to live with it so they would only kill the bear if it was a threat. Loners would kill it if they had the firepower and if they were hungry enough. Bandits wouldn't have the firepower and run like the cowards they are, but if they had the firepower, they would kill it to sell its pelt. Monolith wouldn't kill it because of their special connection to the zone

I know for a fact that Thorny would like to have Tarks in S2. I had a conversation with him over steam.
Is it normal that some exoskeletons are black with SGM?
Because I saw an injured monolith stalker with an exoskeleton that is black.
Monolith wouldn't kill it because of their special connection to the zone
The question is, will the bear kill the monolith?
Playing dead is a cowardly tactic, but a tactic nevertheless. But real stalkers fight threats.
I think the tactic where I yell loud obscenities at bears would be the best route. I can feel like a bad ass while I'm being mauled to death by a radioactive PPSh wielding commie death bear... of death.
fuck these are too damn cool

shame they're TWOHUNDREDANDFIFTYFUCKINGDOLLARS
I would airsoft in these.
If they weren't 250 dollars.
I think the beginning of May is the best time in Finland.
There is no snow anywhere, temperatures are in the 10's but stay below 20C, most of the time it's cloudy as hell and the leaves have just started to grow and the grass is dull looking. Also the sunlight is optimal, dusks are dark enough, but not too dark. Everything about it just reminds me of Stalker.
