Now I know I'm not the only one that doesn't like breaking the fourth wall in video games. What I did was... I told them to get screwed, and then ran like hell to some cover, and took them out behind the cover. The first couple of times you run to cover you might get shot dead, but after a couple more quick loads you should be aight. Looking at it from a mental point of view, I see it as... "Okay, I've told the bandits to get screwed, and they're probably not going to let me live... so I'm going to run like fuck before they draw their weapons, and I'm going to try take them all out." @ dogmachines, not all websites. Sites like Megaupload, Rapidshare, etc. don't really let you pause downloads. If you do pause it, and resume, you'll have to restart the download because your current download just stopped altogether. The only exception I believe is if you're a premium member... which I am not unfortunately.

Alright, I got E[I]ss.Tee.Ayy.Ell.Kay.Ee.Arr[/I]: Shadow of Chernobyl. Do I need to play the others to fully enjoy it? I know it's the start, but do the others carry on from it? Is there a coherent narrative?

There's is continuity between them, but it's similar to a gamelike Fallout rather than CoD. Some characters show up in multiple games but you don't NEED to play all 3 or miss out on the entire narrative. I'd certainly recommend playing all 3 though.

You could also check Sigerous.ru, but the translation tends to mangle some of the information beyond use.

Could anyone make a mod that where you pick up an item from the ground, you holster your weapon, go to low-crouch mode and remain stationary for a small amount of time (depending on the item, or not) and then you have the item in your inventory. Would make the game alot more realistic, not quite realistic when you just go snatch an RPG from the ground in the middle of a firefight.

It's sort of heavy to lug around for long distances but if you're running towards it IRL, you can just go to a slight crouch while running and pick it up. Having to grind to a halt because of an arbitrary restriction is not fun at all and it's not even that realistic.
