How do I join the Loners in TFW?
How do I join the Loners in TFW?
Join the Defiance faction near the Bridge in Cordon. Talk to Father Valarian. Defiance is basically Loners I think, same patches and armour. Uh oh, page 34 is very close. My eyes will bleed, I'm sure of it!
Remember that bloodsucker village in SoC? It would be really interesting/creepy/heart breaking if they did some work when nobody was around, to show that they still have some sort of humanity left in them and killing them is akin to murdering civilians
I know Crisis would still tap dat. On other news, I am apparently a satanist. Odd, I always thought of myself as an agnostic. Time to hit the vodka I guess. [sp]not in real life tho just soc[/sp]
ill just go and hide in the volcano anomaly and join the monolith until page 34 ends.

I can get missions from who I assume is the leader, and the trader let me buy a knife, radio, and sleeping bag. I can't join though, so I'm basically taking on any mission they give me with nothing but a knife and the world doesn't seem to be populated by anything at all. I've run into a handful of blind dogs and 3 fleshes.
the main storyline is going to extend through the new levels and there'll be tons of side missions, stashes, anomalies, all sorts of stuff like that to do
Don't try to promise too much, he higher you reach the harder you fall as they say.
How hard is Call of Pripyat Redux vs vanilla CoP on Master?
Just started playing TFW for the first time, it's so fucking cash. The stalker comms is interesting, stalkers stack up dead bodies, and overall I like the faction wars. Had a blast pushing through to Defiance's base from the north-eastern Swamps exit. I decided to radio my Clear Sky bros for backup but it was night time so I just went lone wolf on Defiance's main base with a silenced Bizon and 1000 pistol rounds. When I nearly wiped everyone out a pack of pseudo-dogs came in and finished the rest of the stalkers off. A burer shows up later on when I'm inside the base, which I quickly dispatch. =P BITCH ASS MOTHERFUCKER Alpha as fuck Bizon
oh god that burer face is hilarious

Fuck, I haven't played in ages and I was thinking about getting back into it. Save corrupted about 25 hours in [editline]12th January 2012[/editline] Anyone think they could find me a save for SoC when you first go to [sp]That lake place with all the zombies and that lab, just after you save the scientist as you're on the road there[/sp]
I was expecting this to be page 34 by now.
It might be now though.
Almost.

TFW question - once you kill off a faction, are they permanently killed off? I'm just wondering if the "faction respawn time" setting also applies to killing off factions or not.
blowout imminent fellow stalkers.

800 words and counting.
Now? Damnit. I bet the next post is going to be page 34
Well, just give me P34.

He nervously circled around his office, the steps making only a shuffling sound to the layer of dust on the concrete floor. Five mysterious attacks in five nights in the middle of the Bar,” the safest area in the entire Zone ”, as Duty liked to promote it. However five dead bodies made the situation seem a lot different. And it wasn’t the fact that they were killed, it was the conditions in how they arrived to the morgue. Disemboweled, missing their eyes and their mouths no more than huge, bloody holes torn open wide. It took something horrible to do this, but would a mutant go through so much work just to kill someone, and no one had ever seen a beast kill someone like this. It had to be a human, and people die easily when they are shot. He would get this sick motherfucker and he would restore the delicate peace of the Bar, just like a security officer should. The trip to the armory wasn’t long. A few hallways and intersections later he arrived at the heavily fortified vault where the faction kept all its peace keeping methods. The post guard looked at him for a split second, spat out a quick ‘’Hey, boss’’, and went back to reading a small book. He took his standard gear and, for safety, got a Kevlar vest in case the opponent managed to shoot back. Throwing in some full magazines in his pouch he turned on his heel and marched outside and soon the night engulfed him. The scope on his heavily modified assault rifle was factory-made for fighting in low/no light conditions, so he decided that the best course of action would be to quickly climb the tower and keep watch of the entire area. If the sicko had attacked the previous five nights it was only natural he would attack today. However what should he hope for? That no one gets hurt or that he catches him in the act? Should he kill him or bring him in for questioning and court? What if he misses? These questions were on his mind as he quickly ascended the old factory clock-tower, taking a defensive position on the ramp up-top. And so he started watching for any movement and disturbances. Hours went by and still nothing. It was as quiet as the area always was – nothing except for the quiet voice in the loudspeaker, some drunks trying to get to the warehouse so they can go to sleep and a strange hissing sound, which he presumed was the wind. Nothing at all, this entire night was a waste. Turning on safety on his weapon he turned around and started heading down to ground level. He wasn’t even half-way when something grabbed his ankle and made him trip. He started falling down all those stairs, his weapons lost somewhere in the dark. Finally he stopped and, ignoring the dull pain in his skull, he rose up arms raised in a defensive position as he used to learn in boxing school. Something approached. He opened his mouth to taunt the man, however.. it wasn’t a man. If you tried to describe it you could say it was a mix between a pseudogiant and a bloodsucker, with other parts independent. The body even though very large seemed to be very nimble and it managed to move around quite quick using its sharp-clawed slender arms. It didn’t seem like a product of mating. It looked like an entirely new breed of mutant. And he was unarmed in front of it, with no idea how to fight it. The Duty manual didn’t cover such situations. Before he could devise an escape route the creature was already on him. It was heavy and it knocked out all the air that was in his lungs, he couldn’t scream nor gasp in a breath. With a butchers precision it sliced through his chest skin and pierced the lungs. The horrible pain and health lessons back in his schooling days made him realize, that he had mere seconds or minutes left to live. Once the oxygen ended he would be dead. So he didn’t fight it, he just laid on the ground and allowed the beast to have a feast on his insides. Before he passed out and died, the creature had decided on another thing he wanted to. It rose up over him on all fours. It was now that the dying man could see a phallus like object extending from a sheathe located on the underside of the monster. It was huge. Much larger than he had ever seen one on a man. Larger than a horses. And now he understood what it wanted from him – a quick romp before his body went cold. He expected the creature to take him from behind and was surprised when it positioned its wet penis at his head, near his mouth. It was too wide, it wouldn’t fit in, he thought, it just wouldn’t god damn fit in there! It wasn’t a problem for the enraged mutant who jammed the tip in the mouth and started pushing. The first inches went in normally, however, the hole started to be too small. Putting on more and more pressure the creature held the human while he did his deed and soon the corners of the mouth had already been torn, the skin ripping apart and allowing more of the beast inside. The officer could only silently scream as the organ entered his body and destroyed his face. Why was he still alive? This agony was too much, he wished he had a way to end it, then he remembered. The hand grenades in his pack. Thanking god in his mind he carefully took out one and pulled the pin. It wouldn’t be long. At the same time the creature started pulling out and creating a rhythm. In a few seconds it was jackhammering his mouth, destroying any known facial traits he used to have. And at the moment when it finally released his disgusting, hot seed into the nearly-dead man the grenade went off, ripping apart the man and tearing off the penis and the hind legs of the creature. It roared out in pain and tried to escape, however the blood loss was too much for it and the mutant collapsed soon. The Bar would be peaceful once more.
