Whether that's true or not is a different matter.

Maybe he'll be the next ~ArtistPavel so that "Misery"-style mods would gain popularity over Complete. I just hope that it doesn't end up in a massive backlash against N.Aaroe when people (especially veteran stalkers) have hyped themselves into a near-orgasm and then they get disappointed over the fact it wasn't the revolutionary mod they've been drooling over. News of STALKER 2 dying probably helped the mod because it and Lost Alpha became lifeboats to grab on to during the desperate times.
basically all the screenshots make it look really good and no-one's had a chance to play it and learn otherwise mon automerge

All I know about IWA is it threw a hissy fit about needing the disk when I tried to install it. Although that lead me to try out Redux, where I promptly got murdered by 8 or so zombies after the first emission, got irritated with the author for making the game so horrible and quit he even got rid of stashes! then I tried it again a bit after and found it strangely fun Also, Mr Aroe's various posts on his own screenshots remind me of the "black raven" guy. Not sure why....
Yeah, it's a special version of I Work Alone, but with more features/different shit. It's a compilation iirc. The reason people are getting excited (I think) is because it's making CoP actually feel like STALKER. I don't know if it's just me, but when I played through I only really got hit by any sort of atmosphere when I was clad in a full SEVA suit with my bros in the tunnel to pripyat. The whole class thing adds a nice little change too. I wouldn't appreciate it in a normal mod, but hopefully it'll work out.

Yeah sweet, no worries. :smile: Just looking a bit into the lua code before I start playing with the XML, I want to see how the string ids are generated. @ Muukkis, yeah definitely. I think if this idea turns out to be really good, it'll be better as a PHP script than a desktop application. The reason is, one server does all the heavy lifting (ie grab thread posts, puts them in the XML) and users just need to download the latest XML file from the server. Getting way ahead of myself here but I like thinking these things through.
