So yeah, I've been playing misery.. For around 5 minutes before some crash. Happens everytime. After five minutes of actually getting in, it exits out to my desktop with the whole, "Xray has stopped responding" crap. I've got 4 gigs of ram.. Damn. I can run it on maximum with 45-50 FPS. Fucking hell.
This was hilarious, saw some bandits, so chilled with them for a while, then they got attacked by dogs, they all died, so i turfed it up the hill to the ranger station, having seen some guys there, all the time thinking "please don't bite my ass". Got to the guys, they then got charged by a boar and some fleshies, which killed them, so i have to turf back down the hill to escape them AND the dogs still chasing me.

My knife does no damage when the shield is up so I don't know why everyone says it's so good.

You just knife it when the shield is down.

Most overlays suck, because they block the center of your vision, when it does not work like that at all.

I think it would be nice it if it was like metro 2033, you see just a piece of glass, and it would be nice if it would become damaged as the condition of the helmet lowers. My automerge...

Having the visor crack from gunfire would be kind of unrealistic since that would imply that you're getting shot through the face.
The scripted events in CoP are incredibly cringeworthy. The animations are bad, the voice acting is bad, there's delays between everything...

[sp]Tremor's death[/sp] was quite dramatic but I started laughing when I saw the pathetic light & sound effect coming from the inside of his weapon (what the fuck GSC, how can you screw up a "gun firing once"-effect) even though the suicide animation itself was pretty good. Now that we have the russian audio mod it doesn't bother me that much but god damn it ruined the atmosphere on many occasions. The dialogue is [I]very[/I] appropriate and serious in russian (at least the tone sounds [I]just[/I] right) but the english one is really cheesy. I hope that S2 would have the russian dialogue and full subtitles as an option.

And I have a question: How do I get the audio in Shadow of Chernobyl to be Russian, but the subtitles to be English?
Alright, I'm gonna download redux, and I haven't got a clue on whether or not I follow the patch steps. As in, do I download the patches 1.01 through 1.05B? Or can I just skip those patches and head directly onto 1.05A or B?

Alright, now I'm getting some error stating that its unable to create the uninstall shortcut, and it kicks me out of the installer.

I wouldn't worry about it.
