I want to play some CoP but there isn't any good mods for my tastes..
Maybe try Swartz Mod ? They’re more likely to loot than other factions, can randomly turn hostile if you have valuables on you, and they’ll dress in whatever outfits they come across (worn-looking versions of outfits from all factions). They won’t be dressing up as other factions but they’re more hostile and I’m working on a looting script. Artifacts completely rebalanced in a way that is similar to SHOC.
Just try turning down textures, shadows, sun quality. I can tell you for a fact that putting "bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3072" into my command prompt (and restarting) fixed a lot of out of memory crashes in games for me. (Assuming you don't have 64bit.)
Yeah, I did that and downloaded a 3gb enabler, it stopped the crashes. My settings are already on the lowest :v:

So I'm replaying SoC with AMK, and I was wondering if there's any graphics mods that'd be compatible.
I just started playing Stalker SoC Where and how can I get my stuff repaired?
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/ss_ludd_01-15-12_16-05-01_zaton.jpg[/img_thumb] BUT THIS. IS NOT. A GOD DAMN. TOOL KIT.
Its a Russian* Army toolkit.
I just started playing Stalker SoC Where and how can I get my stuff repaired?
Without mods, you don't.
Without mods, you don't.
So eventually my armor will break and I'll just have to get a new one?
I forgot about this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44pOwgecUnc
So eventually my armor will break and I'll just have to get a new one?
There was something with jumping into some anomaly. Do it.
So I'm replaying SoC with AMK, and I was wondering if there's any graphics mods that'd be compatible.
take a look at this motherfuckin bad boy: http://www.somethingfornobody.com/2011/s-t-a-l-k-e-r-shadow-of-chernobyl-modding-guide/ (Playing with static lighting on this mod merge looks uglier than vanilla... the ground looks more like puke, so I hope you're on dynamic lighting)
Maybe try Swartz Mod ? http://web.igniferous.net/Swartz/
Well that was boring. 15 minutes into the game I got myself a tacticool HK416, lots of ammo for it, all the attachments you could dream about and tons of money and awesome armor. And it was silly how the loading screens were warning about radiation, but there's none.
There was something with jumping into some anomaly. Do it.
You need some sort of artifact begining for P beforehand. Hope that helps.
You need some sort of artifact begining for P beforehand. Hope that helps.
Nah, I'm sure if he just believes in himself, it'll work out just fine.
Swartz mod looks kinda cool, I might check it out when I get home
So eventually my armor will break and I'll just have to get a new one?
It's not as harsh as it sounds though. I'm sure all of us dealt with it somehow. Either through finding the "hidden" armors or just by purely having enough money. If you want to use the exploit to repair armor then get over 100% protection against your anomaly of choice and jump in it.
I turned DX10 lighting on in CS, and I get wierd blades of white everywhere now. Is this because of TFW or is there an easy fix?
I turned DX10 lighting on in CS, and I get wierd blades of white everywhere now. Is this because of TFW or is there an easy fix?
I believe it's an AA glitch, stalkers AA sucks so no need to enable it.
Hmm. Anyone know how to modify damage of guns? I think that the damage on some guns could be amped against creatures.. Shouldn't take 5+ shots to take out a dog with a 9mm.
I believe it's an AA glitch, stalkers AA sucks so no need to enable it.
You're better off enabling through drivers instead
I believe it's an AA glitch, stalkers AA sucks so no need to enable it.
I don't have AA enabled.
Just started a new game in CoP. Right after the first emission happened, I walked outside to find seven dead bandits piled mere feet from the front door. Following tradition, I looted everything they all had.
I never find anything good on bandits. I cleared out the warehouse area full of them to save that stalker and still didn't really find anything useful. That cat and mouse fight in the cargo containers is always awesomely tense though. I'm currently in Jupiter, just doing a couple of side missions and artifact hunting to build up my cash. In the said rescue mission the stalker refused to actually leave the warehouse until an emission made us both run for cover.
I never have to play cat and mouse with the bandits at their container base because all I do is literally wait around a corner. If they're lucky they'll get smart enough to throw a grenade, but I can always just run back slightly. I can take on the whole base with a makarov if I need to - fuck, if I had the time and they did damage, I'd kill every last one with a single bolt.
I got most by holding out in the building, but the last 2-3 were a little smarter and waited outside for me, so I had to go hunting. They only had shotguns and pistols at that point though, so it wasn't too bad. I made sure to kill the ones with rifles first.
I forgot how awesome the CNPP could be. I found a heavily radiated room, but it contained a stash which has an exo, 120 9X39, rounds, a few medkits, bandages, antirads, and a box full of decent/awesome artifacts. Granted it's from a mod, but still a nice surprise
Well the Misery dev heard the community and is now trying to fix most of the bullshit about the mod, maybe this new patch will make the mod less of a dissapointment...
