that monolith mission challenge is fucking awesome, definitely trying that.
also, i got an email from dave traeger, executive editor of moddb, asking me some questions about stalker modding for an article he's writing apparently.

Also, thorny, I dunno if you are aware of this, but I can sell two artifacts in redux for 2480 and then buy them back for 100 each. Now while I only used to to get enough rubles to buy the Cs-a suit, (and only that, I swear upon the glory of the monolith) Other players could use it to circumvent the depravity that you've set up within redux. (Again, I don't know if you were already aware of this)
what artifacts were they?
I have placed the gamedata in the stalker cop folder. and changed the fsgame true true. But i still get the bug crash. What do i do?

Need more to go on than "bug crash".
Somebody recommend me a good mod for my third playthrough of SoC please.

What did you play the second time? Or was it vanilla? If so, AMK SE?

I've played it through twice with vanilla.
[editline]18th January 2012[/editline]
I'll check out AMK, thanks.

I recommend AMK: Sidorovich Edition. New weapons, mutants, etc.
In the Freeplay mod, do you talk to Charon for the Monolith Missions?
AMK sidorovich edition
I downloaded AMK: SE.
Anything I absolutely need to know before playing it?

Electro-Chimeras just want a hug.
Electro-Chimeras just want a hug.
Okay, I'll keep that in mind.

Nothing that I can really think of.
There may be an anomaly in the tunnel between Wild Territory and Yantar that kills Kruglov, I haven't been able to find a fix for this.

Vadka Dogman is the biggest reporter on Dog Activity since that guy from National Geographic.
Playing that AMK complete+lurk models+shaders max merge, and sidequests seem utterly broken. I crash pretty much every time I either try to get one or turn one in. And I tried fixing it with the Groza ogg like the guide says but it didn't seem to have any impact.

^That leads me to believe it's either a sound or scripting error. Hard to tell which.
Well I completely fucked up my stalker. Copying the tecnobacon DMX over the DKZ DMX would work, right?

Tecnobacon Soup is standalone, it requires no retarded left-for-dead untranslated Russian People Soup derivates.
Also apply latest patch, mini-patch, Argus Texture Pack and low res UI just in case if it does out of memory crashes at anything above 50%.

One tip when doing that ,prepare your anus , just in case
I just remembered that I backed up my gamedata folder prior to installed DMX, I'll just delete my current one and replace it with the back up
Oh yeah, I'm not sure if the after cave save still applies, so you might have to go through it. :v:
I'm almost done installing my copy, so we'll see how this goes. I realized earlier that I have to install every part of the gamdata folder. I thought it seemed too quick when the first gamedata was only like 300 MB. :v:
What is this cave that's so bad that it needs save past it?

Regular Soup implemented a "hallucination" sequence that tosses you into a mutant-filled cave, and you get to arm yourself with a bandit exosuit, a minigun and a [sp]chunk of the monolith[/sp].
DMX made it harder by making the majority of the enemies give massive amounts of damage.
Tecnobacon makes the situation a little less desperate by making the minigun stronger, but chances are you're still gonna get one hit killed by a Bloodsucker or a Burer.

The recoil is so ridiculous I can't aim with it anyway.
EAX and surround sound is all mega broken
[editline]18th January 2012[/editline]
It'll be like watching Return of the King before any of the other Lord of the Rings movies and you will be confused as fuck judging by your post style. I bet.
EAX/Surround sound works fine for me in all three games...Maybe I'm just lucky. Though EAX isn't actually used in any areas past x16 in SoC if I recall, and not at all in CS/CoP.
So for the patch adaptation, it says it's installed last, is that after the main mod is installed, or after add-ons are installed as well?
That's for after the main mod.
Damn, finally got into the menu and everything but I'm getting a breakpoint error now.
