Anyone know how I can reduce crashes in Stalkersoup? I get 7-8 crashes an hour, and it is starting to get very annoying
What's causing the crashes? If it's an "out of memory" error The only things I can suggest are using Kingo's patched .exe files if you aren't already, and get more RAM.
so I've tried downloading SGM 2.0 7 times, but every time it tells me the archive is damaged or incomplete.
fuck i messed up bad. I was playing as Military, and i thought that stealth worked like in LURK. So i tried to sneak up to the rookie village in the middle of the night, with NVGs on. I got completely assraped by grenades, even though it should've been impossible for them to see me. Is Dooms Mod supposed to have rebuilt stealth or did I just fuck everything up?
I remember sneaking into Pripyat Underground when the psyzombie horde was still on the loose. Shit was tight, man. It was night-time so their visibility was low while my 3rd generation sunglasses gave me massive advantages. Problem was shooting. Whenever I fired my Vintorez, the computer would lag from all the tracers that were directed to the sound. I could only get one headshot and instantly relocate. Only weapon that didn't create such a reaction was the knife and it wasn't exactly reliable as I had to keep a few meters distance from the zombies to stay undetected. There I was, sneaking into Jupiter amidst the masses, low-crouching or just walking with shift. I ended up in a dead-end room with zombies constantly pouring in. I had no grenades left, suit was destroyed and Vintorez was half-way down under in terms of condition. I pick up an AK-74 from the floor, equip it and just w+m1 my way past the already entering zombified mercenary. I run past that little bridge and jump off from the window. As the bullets keep coming at my running footsteps, I just run like a mofo with my silenced USP, zerging into the workshop building and into the tunnel, past the helicopter and into the underpass. I also checked the nearby stalker counter on the radar. Number of zombies in Jupiter: [B][U]126.[/U][/B]

The bar is pretty laggy initially too, but the bar *always* lags, so no big deal. Do you know how to change the flashlight color? I've been trying to find a guide to make it white or yellow, or at least more of a blue/white LED kind of color instead of straight up blue. I find it really distracting and difficult to use at night

Most times there is no log or anything, the few times it leaves a log its because its run out of memory. Now I'm having a problem with misery. During Uncle Yar's mission, before we even get to the house he will open up on the zombies or vice-versa. And since the zombies take near enough half a mag of 556 each to kill, we don't survive longer than a minute.

I think it probably has something to do with tweaked AI.

At least when Snag steals your stuff in CoP you get it all back and you don't have to lug it too far. On that note, what's the point of the "Storage" option with bankers in SGM?

Damn it. I discovered a beautiful shaders pack, so naturally I play as soon as possible. Then, when a bandit gets lucky and hits me in the head, I discover that, through some bizarre and cruel twist of fate, this texture pack has made me unable to save the game. I gave up once I was one kill away from taking down the military cordon. The Zone apparently thought it was pretty funny, since it made me fly like twenty feet from where the lucky fucker hit me in the face. Such is life in the Zone.
Anyone know how to shorten the massive loading/saving times in Misery? I've already put the settings down to medium and the lighting to object detail, but it still takes ages.
Damn, I need to get used to Dooms guns.
Sorry to seem like a complete noob but could anyone suggest a good for CoP, I tried complete but got bored of it because it didn't change anything significant.
