As soon as I'm done playing stalkersoup, I'm gonna try and email tecnobacon again and see if I can do translations. The current ones are just awful, the only decent ones are the quest-related ones

I really hate how the weapons work in SGM. Everything that isn't a few select shotguns is an incredibly inaccurate, weak pea-shooter until you find all the tools and spend ~60k RU upgrading it. So, until you do that, shotguns are the only way to go. Kind of hard to kill the alpha squad with a shotgun...

There's an entrance right by the rookie camp in Cordon, but I think you have to do a certain quest to unlock it

I tried to go to the Army Warehouses, but fell through the map. :(

My Russian friend just bet me a copy of STALKER 2 that he can complete all three STALKER games in chronological order on Master mode in one day with no saves.

Doing the raid mission with squad in Pripyat. Pinned down behind a wall due to two controllers closing in and attacking from afar turning members of the squad into zombies. I lean out around the corner and take shots at the controller but its mystical aura of confusion is making it difficult for me to land a bullet. I leaned back under cover and reloaded then poked my head back out a second time to continue spamming rounds. A duty guy snuck out behind the controller, knifed it in the head and then sniped the other one. Hey guys, I haven't been able to do anything on my computer all week, and I came home today to download Doom's mod (And take the monolith challenge!), and since MegaUpload is down, I am unable to do so. Does anyone have an alternate link? (Also, it seems that all of the other mirrors provided by multi-upload don't work either.)

Hah. They all got removed for "copyright infringement" and two of the sites are down.

Why would it get taken down for copyright infringement?

Every upload site probably shit their pants when Megaupload got taken down and removed everything that [I]might[/I] include copyright content. Dunno how long they were down though. Blaberry needs to get his FTP up again...

How come nobody told me that you're supposed to reboot after replacing the standard .exe with a 4gb .exe? :v: At least it's working now, I've gone from Cordon to the Bar with zero crashes

I still have it, but I have no idea where it upload it. Plus I won't be able to upload it until a couple days from now.

Anyone else running StalkerSoup encounter the weird issue where if you reload a save in the Dark Valley, you warp back to the southern entrance? I initially came in the regular way, through the Dump, but then it warped me over there where it says the Cordon entrance is. It saves all my progress properly but resets my location to there.
