Wait what, Freeman stalks the Zone in Dooms mod?.
Yeah, he and all the other named characters like Ghost have risen from the dead.
Does Fang even have a model?
He never appeared in any of the games so I would have to guess "no"
Fang needs some love too, man.
Does Fang even have a model?
Does Fang even have a model?
You could just take Mole's head and put it on an exosuit stalker.
I have a problem with Call Of Pripyat where the game automatically sets the Video settings to maximum. Of course my PC doesn't like that and I get 15-20 fps tops, and if I change the settings the game doesn't start anymore. It's a retail copy btw. [editline]21st January 2012[/editline] I reinstalled and tried changing video options one at a time, apparently it only happens when I try to run the game in DX9 mode instead of 10.
You're not gonna believe me but, in a fridge! [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/ss_ludd_01-21-12_09-42-50_l07_military.jpg[/img_thumb]

that's not a speedrun :/
that's not a speedrun :/
It is: there are two classes of speedrun: glitch and non-glitch runs.
it's dumb, that's not playing through stalker soc
Yeah, one thing is sequence breaking your way through a game and the other is speedrunning the story-related parts. I still haven't found a 100% SoC speedrun, tho.
it's dumb, that's not playing through stalker soc
That's why it's a speedrun, not a playthrough. The Crysis speedrun involves flying through the entire game with a jump glitch.
it's dumb, that's not playing through stalker soc
You're not really trying to play through a game in a speed-run, which is why it's a speed-run lol. As noted above me with Crysis; the Morrowind Speedruns of 3 minutes are the same, you fly from the beginning to the end with a spell and then win.
that's fucking stupid
that's fucking stupid
No, that's just one form of "emergent gameplay". By that reasoning, doing any sort of challenge runs in STALKER would be retarded as well. Not only that but developers actually sometimes recruit skilled players to try speedrun their games so they can spot and fix cheap exploits before the game ships.
deliberately glitching your way through a game to beat it as fast as you can isn't 'emergent gameplay' and my reasoning has nothing to do with challenges like ours because in doing those you're actually playing the game
it's dumb, that's not playing through stalker soc
yes because that's exactly what speed-runs exist for. for playing the story. not for getting through the game as fast as possible.
yes because that's exactly what speed-runs exist for. for playing the story. not for getting through the game as fast as possible.
generally completing a game means finishing the story, what with most games being story-driven, including STALKER
generally completing a game means finishing the story, what with most games being story-driven, including STALKER
Well, the story of the game is getting to the Center of the Zone and discovering the Zone's secret or reaching the Wish Granter and getting the "bad ending" and it's really what he achieved. Things like the Agroprom Operation, X18 and the trip to X16 is there basically so that you learn how to get past the Scorcher. He got past it via other means without cheating so that's a legitimate run of the game. It's not like he hasn't already played it before, it's just to show off how inventive / skilled players can be when given a chance.
I don't understand the butthurt about how someone played a game. He must have played it a lot anyway to know that much about it.
Can someone repost that comic where the Dutybro takes out the bloodsucker by stabbing it in the mouth?

God damnit. Redux keeps crashing on startup for me :c
This is my gun. I thought you guys may like it.
Don't really see what this has to do with stalker, but it looks cool, I guess.
Just thought you guys might like it, being that it's a beat to shit apocalypse-esque gun, and I know you guys like the apocalypse, and guns.
Just thought you guys might like it, being that it's a beat to shit apocalypse-esque gun.
I guess, althrough it's very, very rookie-ish. Stalkers aren't exactly fans of the "improvised with small fire rate" weapons type. Even the zombies are armed with assault rifles and machine guns.

Even the zombies are armed with assault rifles and machine guns.
Maybe all the rookies use weapons like that because all the other ones do. Like half of the people in the Zone get their guns through finding them on dead dudes, so I guess a lot of rookies see a shitty hunting rifle and pick that up, then everybody's all like "wow that gun must be really good if he was willing to pick it up off a dead dude!" Like everything else in the Zone, it's a vicious cycle of terrible equipment.
