Anyone know how to reduce the amount of npcs in Pripyat, in People Soup? I keep crashing because I only have 3gb of memory

So I've managed to stop the crashing in Pripyat. I had to turn everything down to the absolute minimum, and then I downloaded a fps-boosting texture pack. It still lags and stutters a little, but way better than crashing

I got to Red forest and my saves corrupted, so I decide to freeplay instead since a bunch of quests are unlocked only after beating the main quest

I just had an amazing moment in SGM. I re-enabled Alpha Squads since it was freeplay mode now, so I just sleep in Yanov to build up interest, wake up to find out approximately six different detachments outside the station, spamming their 100% accurate bullshit through the metal doors. Well, I grab my 142 damage Predator shotgun, 400 shells, 30 medkits, 30 bandages and an RGD-5. I open the doors, rush out and start playing this in the MP3 player. He will probably start working on some new additions at this point in time.
