Allright. The cordon in clear sky where you enter right next to the military with that unlimited PKM. If I try sprinting towards it, they just mow my shit. If I try going under the tree, I run out of medkits and the tear my shit up. If I go the other way around, the Stalkers there wreck me. I swear to god once I get past these guys, I'm coming back with an SVD, and I'll make sure each one of those military recieves a direct bullet into the cranium. Twice.
EDIT: Of course right after I rage about it I get past them.

I've discovered that the Paradise Lost mod actually lets you hurt people with bolts. I learned this the hard way in the bar area.
I'm pretty sure that Build 2215 or something had bolts that caused damage.

Some mod for CoP that I tried made throwing knives for bolts that do shit damage. Undocumented feature. I tried thowing bolts at stalkers that appear near starting area in CoP. Instant 'gameover'.

I never get any option to actually take the interest, though. I can see how much interest I should be getting, and my current balance, and I can deposit and withdraw money, but I can't get interest.

You can just run up to the bridge and the stalkers won't even get a shot at you and they will turn friendly / neutral when you reach the rookie village.

If you want to run for it, just sprint towards the tree, crouch under it quickly and then just run diagonally to safety. Travel lightly if possible.

I've been having the torrent open for a couple of hours now. It hasn't downloaded anything, although I couldn't necessarily say the same thing for the other 100 odd people I saw trying to download. If you gotta shut it off, then don't worry about it! I'll just wait until whenever they release that English download.

Been seeding several gigabytes according to utorrent :/ Ahwell I couldn't get the beta to even work so I'm not sure if it works at all with steam crysis.

Anyone have any tips on how to actually hold an area? I've cleared out all of the main factions to 0 fatcion strength. Defiance, Freedom, Duty, Renegades. Working on The CS guys at the swamps, but monolith patrols jkeep steamrolling my exit/entrance routes at dark valley. And although I can't find any bandits ind ark valley, they seem to still have 42 faction strength.
And I don't know why my exo-wearing merc buddies can't fend off a few dogs or cats :(
Also, is there any way to make it so when I call in a squad, I don't receive that one squad which only has 1 guy in it? I'd have thought holding resource points would up the gear and number of people per squad, but I have 8 points and can't see any difference.

I'm not syaing otherwise, and I've made pretty great use of the radio so far. You can't call in backup/call for squads to capture a area without it, unless you plan on talking to them in person.
Opposition is perfectly fine, was just wondering if there were any tips on stopping my exo wearing double squads on an area to not be ravaged by single squads of monolith, bandits or dogs/cats. Also trying to find the last few bandits hidden in dark valley, so they stop attacking my resource points.

You have no clue how big of a deal that is.
This opens the doors for possible full-on co-op play.

Here's what you do: press Escape, go to TFW settings. Lower the respawn rate of your faction to its lowest possible number, then raise the one of the opposing factions to its maximum. Eventually you'll have more stalkers than you know what to do with. Honestly, I left the settings like that, left the game on for a couple hours, and bam, Bandits overrunning every single part of the Zone minus the Swamps.
Anyway, if anyone makes a STALKER's 2012, be sure to include me.

So after SGM suddenly making my CoP run at .1fps I uninstalled it and threw on Atmosfear 3 (and Absolute texture pack) and its running fine again, Just wondering are there any other mods that don't change vanilla too much but are pretty good grabs.
Do people still suggest that Sound mod in the OP? I wouldn't mind oomphier sounding guns but I'm not so sure about all the other sound changes.
Is there any type of ZRP for CoP?
Are there any mods that just by themselves add more customization to NPC outfits like SGM does (Complete too I think, I forget).
I saw the AI overhaul mod on the GSC forums awhile ago, is that still being worked on and is it amazing?
Anything standalone for more a better translation or something (I see something about this in Complete)
(After further looking, I basically want half of the shit thats in Complete, without actually getting Complete because I'm using Atmosfear3)

You're thinking about a "variation mod". There's a CoP variation mod by Darkenneko but IIRC it doesn't work with AtmosFear. Pretty much every major mod makes use of it, at least partially.

Yes, it's amazing. However, it can get a little too hectic sometimes.

I've tried it but at it's current state, no. I suppose you [I]could[/I] try merging them but I have no experience on the subject. Well, at least major mods try to include their own version of the Variation mod and stalkers on the GSC forums are probably working on getting them to work as well.
