I like how in the 1.4 patch notes it says they're finally turning on compiler optimizations after the maker of SkyBoost said a friend of his in Bethesda said they didn't intend to turn them on.
Never shit on your customers Bethesda.
All the western RPGs tend to be too easy for me.
Fus Ro Dah is probably the only shout I ever use by the way. The rest are rather useless.
Well maybe Ice Form is quite nice and dragon breath

I especially love to paralyze these big bosses that look all badass and the just fus ro dah them down the slope and laugh
Well, since this is a action rpg, it has been dumbed down a lot since oblivion and made stuff easier for people who are new to RPGs (ex: cod games) and don't want to ragequit because they chose the wrong skills and attributes.
Who would like a Star Ocean soundtrack for Skyrim? A friend requested it.
Decided to go back to Riverwood, and i saw something that i had never seen before:
Guard getting water with a bucket:

Guard standing:

If you have seen these before, then nevermind...
Sorry again for the bad graphics.
I had to edit the images in Photoshop, make them easier to look.
I feel sorry for you since you have to play skyrim on those graphic settings.

Really creepy story in Skyrim.

In all fairness oblivion is also pretty dumbed down compared to DF and MW. Hopefully it levels out soon...

I don't know, there's something strangely appealing about playing games on the absolute shittiest settings. The blurriness makes it feel like a watercolor painting :v:

There is an appalling lack of scottishness[sp](its a word)[/sp]in skyrim
I dunno, I was hoping for an rpg style like fallout NV, that being said I never really got a feel for oblivion since the only time I played it was at a LAN center.

Those guards arrive in Riverwood right after you speak to the jarl in Whiterun, if you follow the dunmer (don't remember her name), she'll tell some guards to go there and I followed them all the way because I was curious.
Do you have to be a specific class or whatever to be good at archery or could you pick any and work your archery skill up? I'm new :v:
Do you have to be a specific class or whatever to be good at archery or could you pick any and work your archery skill up? I'm new :v:
There are no defined "classes". There's an archery skill, which falls under the warrior branch.
The beauty of the Elder Scrolls is that you can really play anything you want. Especially now with Skyrim.

You only chose what race you want to be.
Your class is decided by what you feel like using at that moment. Your class is kinda specified by what you have skilled up since you'll be weaker with those things with less skill, but still you could have (a specific kind of) magic, two handed weapons and archery skilled at 100 effectively making you a jack of all trades.
You can always chose what you want to do. You start the game with 3 basic spells.
Is there ever a point in the game where pickpocketing is worthwhile as a skill?
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
It's so dreadfully tedious to level it up.

It's good for making NPCs naked and killing Deadra and forsworn briarhearts by pickpocketing their heart.

[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
Meh, it's more entertaining to just shout them off of a cliff or other high place.
I don't understand how stealing shealthed weapons is a high-tier perk. You'd think anyone would be able to do that.

The only thing I can think of that it'd be useful for is if you have a nude mod installed.

Stealing a weapon out of the sheath undetected? I'd think it requires some pretty damn good mastery of thievery.
The only thing I can think of that it'd be useful for is if you have a nude mod installed.
Mmm, Adrianne Avenicci naked :quagmire:
Something about that leather blacksmith's apron that accentuates her curves.

just unclipping or something the sheath from the belt is some pretty damn good mastery of thieving?
But seriously, there's porn available. Installing a nude mod seems rather pointless to me.
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
automerge broken :c
just unclipping or something the sheath from the belt is some pretty damn good mastery of thieving?
Undetected? I can think of ten million different reasons why it would be hard to steal that undetected.
Stealing a weapon out of the sheath undetected? I'd think it requires some pretty damn good mastery of thievery.
I don't care if I'm undetected or detected, anyone has the ability to steal a weapon from the sheath.
dargon ditties
I think that would be very difficult if you ask me. Especially sometimes its not a sheathed weapon. Its one they're holding in their hands.

Sneaking is the most useful skill in the game (after archery ofc)
just unclipping or something the sheath from the belt is some pretty damn good mastery of thieving?
Wouldnt the sound of metal sliding out of a sheath and the instant feel of being lighter be a pretty dead giveaway. Especially with stuff like warhammers.
Sneaking is the most useful skill in the game (after archery ofc)
I know, my favourite characters specialise in it. Pickpocketing, however, is practically worthless. NPCs generally don't carry much worthwhile on them that isn't easier to nick from a locked chest or shop stand.
