What's so bad about destruction magic? I've not had any problems with it, does exactly what it says on the tin.
It doesn't scale with your level. A novice destruction spell is the same at level 50 as it isat level 1. Every other magic type scales with your level, that way they don't become useless.
Since everyone so far has been positive about it I'm gonna go ahead and start the Daily Mod Showcase with two incredible tools that helped me a lot in managing mods. The Nexus Mod Manager and BOSS.
Nexus Mod Manager
If love fiddling with dozens of mods this is the tool for you, it's comparable with tools such as the Oblivion Mod Manager and Fallout Mod Manager but it has some very major differences.
Now I must add that this tool is still in beta and not yet perfect, but it's showing a lot of promise and I already love it.
It uses a simple and clean interface with three tabs: Plugins, Mods and Download Manager.
-Plugins: This tab is pretty much identical to the Data Files tab in the Skyrim launcher, it allows you to activate and deactivate mods simply by (un)ticking a box next to the name of the mod. You can also rearrange your mods by the use of big green arrows, which is great but the lack of an automatic sorting tool is kind of a bummer... but this is where BOSS comes in handy.
-Mods: On first look it looks similar to the Plugins tab but it is so much more, this tab is where the Mod Manager keeps all your via the tool downloaded (or manually added) mods in a list where you can easily turn them on or off, this is especially useful for texture packs because you don't have to go through your Skyrim folders any more to delete stuff if you end up disliking it. It even keeps track of files you've overwritten so if you disable a texture mod or something similar it automatically goes back to the previous file you had installed. It also keeps track of the latest version of the mod you installed, though I found that this has the tendency to be incorrect.
-Download Manager: If you've used the Nexus a lot in the past you might have noticed the recent addition of a big green 'DOWNLOAD WITH MANAGER' button when you want to download a file, if you press this the Nexus Mod Manager will automatically boot up and start downloading the requested file. Once it's done downloading the mod will appear in the Mods tab where you can activate it. You can also pause or delete a download in progress if you change your mind of need to watch porn really badly but the buffering is taking ages.
Besides the above mentioned tabs there's also a few buttons on the top including a 'Launch Skyrim' button (which you can change to 'Load SKSE' if you have that installed), a Tools button which so far only includes 'Reset Archive Invalidation' and a Settings button if you want to change directories and all that good stuff.
Overall I'm extremely happy with this tool so far, it makes managing and installing mods so much easier and I never install texture mods without it any more.

Positive:
-Easy and quick to use
-Integration with the Nexus sites (yes this means that you can use this tool for Oblivion and the Fallout games as well)
-Supports launching SKSE
Negative:
-Lacks an automatic sorting tool
-Downloads get stuck sometimes
-Small bugs
BOSS - Better Oblivion Sorting Software
Don't get confused by the name of this tool, it IS used for Skyrim and if you have a lot of big gamechanging mods this is a blessing.
What this tool does is it sort your mods so they don't conflict with each other... and any mods it doesn't recognize it puts as last in the load order.
From what I've experienced this system works perfectly and it solved a whole lot of problems for me.
I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this tool so far, so go and download this if you're experiencing troubles with sorting your mods.

Feel free to PM me mod suggestions if you feel like a certain mod needs more attention.
Does anyone have a way of unlocking the camera during critical kill sequences? I'd love to get some interesting shots of beating things up, except the camera refuses to move.
Get that one magic mod on the nexus. Balanced magic I believe, it definitely makes being a mage better. And there are different settings so you can see what you like.
Unfortunately I'm playing the console version (because I know my computer wouldn't be able to handle it without lowering the graphics to an extend)

I don't see why you're so surprised, I wouldn't expect any less than that.
I'm surprised it took this long.
I don't see why you're so surprised, I wouldn't expect any less than that.
I see it all the time, it just made me wonder why any one would want to destroy the art style and feel of skyrim with those mods.
Cleared out Mzulft. Using the command pickup exploit on Lydia, I was able to haul over 1200 pounds of Dwemer scrap and loot. Over 300 Dwarven ingots :v:
Except, after smelting them, I used the same exploit to get her to pick them back up, and all except 44 of the bars disappear (if you drop a stack, it shows as one item, so it wasn't a collision problem causing them to disappear). I guess that's my punishment for being an exploitative pack rat :c
I would burn the entire surface of Nirn if it meant I could get a Bag of Holding.
[editline]24th January 2012[/editline]
Oh well, at least I got enough Dwarven ingots to smelt me and Lydia a full set of exquisite Dwarven armour (now that i've got the Corpus enchantment perk, it's viable to enchant the armour to replace my robes)

Could it be that the green-haired one looks strangely familiar somehow? I believe I've seen her before somewhere.
Haha, in the Winterhold College questline where [sp]Winterhold is attacked by magic anomalies after Ancano's dicking around with the Eye of Magnus[/sp], one of the mages resurrects a chicken to fight for him :v:

It's hatsune miku, a virtual singer.

The one on the left is from Vocaloid, she's posted everywhere so you probably have seen her. The one on the right is Lightning from FF13.
Khajiit=/=Furry for fucks sakee!
I hate to have this conversation with my friends.
Khajiit are about as furry as Calvin and Hobbes.

Khajiit has fur.
Khajiit has humanoid lower body features.
Humans roleplay as a Khajiit
Khajiit has no level of intelligence.
Humans who pay $250 for fursuits and dress up in them for all their life have no level of intelligence.
Khajiit ~= Furry
Khajiit are very weird, they can be drastically different based on the moon phases when they are born. Everything from what we see in Skyrim to a common house cat(although they are smarter than a house cat, but they can't speak to other races).
It must be weird being a Khajiit parent.

There's a non-sapient form that the khajiit use as the equivalent to horses. They're sexually compatible with other forms of khajiit.

"Honey, I gave birth to a horse again!"
Walked past some Dunmer bugger naked while I was clothes shopping (sold my old clothes), he mumbled "You're making me unseasonably warm."
Oh christ.

Finished the Winterhold College questline. These archmages robes, boots plus Mordekai's mask are so good I could never hope to enchant an equal set of armour :/
Considering abandoning the pursuit of a heavily-armoured battlemage.

Khajiit horse sex
NOPE NOPE NOPE
Usually i love to see where conversations are going to, but i have to say this one has crossed my relatively high border of "Okay guys, it was fine but now it's just gone onto strange weird shit"
"Honey, I gave birth to a horse again!"
Well, when I say that I meant they're like, riding mounts.
They're pretty much massive fucking lions. Yeah.

I hope they add some of the other Khajiit races as well. I'd love to play as a Dagi, small, nimble, and good at magic.
