Gloves of the Pugilist. [editline]27th January 2012[/editline] It's quite disheartening that the quest pages for the Companions on the Elder Scrolls wiki, the bugs section is always the largest section on each page :/
Maybe they should rename the "bugs" page to the "features" page. Unrelated: [thumb]http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/7365/screenshot9379.png[/thumb] Bring it on, bitch, I'm not a mage this time!
Can anyone upload this somewhere else? I couldn't download it from Nexus: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1209#content
Awhile back I asked if there was a mod that increased the amount of perks you get per level. One guy responded and gave me two options, one that used ScriptDragon and one that was just it's own .ini I think. I used the .ini as it was just a single digit change. Does anyone know what that one is called or where I can find it? 1 perk per level is pretty shitty in the higher levels.
Is it worth keeping one's lycanthropy? Apart from the irritating remarks from guards, is there any downside to it?
no well rested bonus
My Nexus mod manager broke, it keeps trying to update and then freezing, the version I've got is 0.14.1, which is already up to date from what I can tell, help?
Is it worth keeping one's lycanthropy? Apart from the irritating remarks from guards, is there any downside to it?
only the well rested bonus goes away from sleeping but that's it very worth it
Is it worth keeping one's lycanthropy? Apart from the irritating remarks from guards, is there any downside to it?
The only downside is the lack of a rested bonus, which is 100% useless because leveling up faster just makes the game go by faster, and most enemies scale to you. The upsides far outweigh any downsides. Which is silly for lycanthropy, but... Bah, ninjas. On a different note, fighting a dragon in pitch black darkness at midnight during a snowstorm is one scary experience.
I don't like vampirism in this game. Feeding makes you weaker than hungry. :wtc:
I don't like vampirism in this game. Feeding makes you weaker than hungry. :wtc:
It was like that in Oblivion (and I assume) Morrowind too. Feeding makes you more human (or elven, or khajiiti, or argonian) and less monstrous/demonic. Vampires in TES aren't vampires in the traditional sense - they're half-daedra, apparently the offspring of Molag Bal raping a girl. Although vampirism in Skyrim just kind of sucks (no pun intended).
I'm going to see about trying to port the armor from ME2 into Skyrim when the creation kit comes out (obviously i'll be editing the texture and maybe the model a little to make it more lore friendly) I think with some modifications to make the armor look more like metal plates and leather straps, throwing in a bit of fur and generally making the whole thing look more scratched up, it could look kind of good. Or I could be really lazy and just retexture some existing armor.
If you know how to port, you can already put it into game. You'll need 3DS max since that's the only modelling tool with an skyrim-supporting .NIF plugin, and then just use Skyedit.
That is why you should use the UESP instead of the Wikia. Quite often the USEP has double or triple the amount of information than the Wikia does.
I was told that UESP focused more on technical data than lore, seems I was deeply misled.
I was told that UESP focused more on technical data than lore, seems I was deeply misled.
If it's lore you care about, just visit the Imperial Library.
I find that every time I look at the UESP for info, I leave disappointed.
I just read Breathing Water, the Alteration skill book. As with most of the books Bethesda writes, the ending caught me off guard. Read it.
Well, UESP is good for reading Elder Scrolls books in my opinion.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed by the fact that you can't side with the Thalmor. When Delphine asked me to kill Paarthurnaax, I made her nonessential, killed her, and threw her body into the river going towards a sawmill. If I'd been able to side with the Thalmor, I would have just turned her in. V:v:V

V:v:V
Why would you side with a faction that tries to kill you on sight out of racism and is attempting to exterminate and completely erase all but their own "pure" race? Even if you're a high elf they pull a "no true Thalmor" and kill you anyway. The Thalmor/Ayleid 2.0 are so unambiguously evil that it reeks of "always lawful evil" and bad writing. I suppose if you enjoy being a Nazi...Even then, I'm reasonably sure that turning Delphine in wouldn't change their mind about killing you, they would just take advantage of your turn-coating and get rid of the both of you. On a different note, how does my current graphics setup rate? Something just seems off...it looks really pasty and pale. I'm using the FXAA Injector and Realistic Light without Post-Processing. I wish I could adjust the contrast of the lighting and shadows. I have tried ENB multiple times, but each time I find myself kind of disgusted by it for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that the creator of it is an asshole who insults others and can't take criticism. Check his website and the ENB readme if you don't believe me. [thumb]http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/5286/screenshot4956.png[/thumb]
Skyrim sucks when it comes to choices. Everything is force-fed down the players throat. NPC's will approach you and lock you into conversation while they force a quest on you. Did Bethesda think the average Skyrim player was going to be 5 years old? That we wouldn't be able to find these things out on our own and that making choices was too complicated for us?
It's a mainstream game. So yes. I can't be the only one who mentally compares Skyrim to a singleplayer Muh-mor-pa-guh (that's MMORPG).
Just had a bandit two shot me with arrows, I'm level 48.
Kill every Thalmor busta you see :jihad:
Just had a bandit two shot me with arrows, I'm level 48.
Because when two arrows pierce your heart or head you tend to die.
Because when two arrows pierce your heart or head you tend to die.
Unless your name has the prefix of "Bandit" or the suffix of "Guard".
Markath city is best city because it was built by them dorfs.
Dwemer (deep elves), "dwarfs" is just used because it is easier to understand.
I know :v: I'm a lore expert. [editline]27th January 2012[/editline] Dorfs just sounds silly.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFF- Antialiasing and Anisotropic filter makes my skyrim get reduced to 1-2 fps and screen goes black after I load a save, but it's fine when I turn it off.
Goddamn it's irritating when a Silver Blood mage one-shots me with his goddamn firebolts. Got the elemental resistance perk and about to enchant my armour with magic resistance, so it should be far less of a problem. [editline]27th January 2012[/editline] Making an absolute fortune out of their silver weapons, though :D [editline]27th January 2012[/editline] Does anyone know of a mod that adds a plate steel shield, or something that would very much suit plate steel?
FFFFFFFFFFFFFF- Antialiasing and Anisotropic filter makes my skyrim get reduced to 1-2 fps and screen goes black after I load a save, but it's fine when I turn it off.
That's because AA and AF both are heavy on the graphiccard.
