Imagine one of your followers dying, you put their soul into a Centurion, then it speaks like the Warhammer 40k dreadnaughts. "Even in death I still serve".
"Even in death I'm still sworn to carry your burdens".
"Even in death I'm still sworn to carry your burdens".
Not sure whether to rate you funny or winner :v: Should I make the aforementioned mod a reality, I am going to write that on a custom Centurion texture using these fonts, and see if anyone notices: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4721
Is the next patch going to address areas CTDing when a save game reaches 15+ Mbs?
The game does that? Or are you referring to the PS3 issue? If so, then that would be nice. I have the Computer version as well since I couldn't play on the PS3 anymore.
Is the next patch going to address areas CTDing when a save game reaches 15+ Mbs?
Nothing can really save that except for a save-game cleaner sadly. The reason it happens is because weapons dropped will stay forever in the world, same with ash piles and other dropped things. If you've zombified/killed a lot of people, you're going to have a lot of junk data floating around your save file for those random ash piles and weapons in the wilderness. Good news is that the patch apparently fixes the fact that these things build up, and it apparently clears them out like they should be. However I don't think it can save an already bloated save-file.

Its annoying how i never have been able to get passed level 45 with out the game screwing up
I think the beginning of the game would have been a lot better if instead of a action packed escape from custody in true elder scrolls fashion, you could start out in Falkreath, around the border. Maybe you could meet somebody who you try to cross the border with, but gets killed in the ambush. He could be a suitable "introductory" character for new players. If you go forward you could get captured and sent to Helgen and all that, or you could leave and never go over there. Once you get captured, they could let you get executed and sent to (Sort of MQ Spoilers)[sp]Sovngarde to meet the heroes who then explain all about how you are Dovahkiin, the unintended consequences of their time meddling and that you have to destroy Alduin. Perhaps have Shor send you back to battle Alduin.[/sp] Back in a now obliterated Helgen, alive and well, with Alduin circling and most everyone incinerated except the general, ambassador, and a guard or two who are fleeing. Alduin sees you, somehow knowing that you are Dragonborn and, in his incredibly angry state after being sent forward in time, decides to see what you're made of. Bethesda would have to figure out how to make this battle seem big and epic, but in the end you'd obviously get your ass whooped. Alduin decides you're not a true Dragonborn, and not worthy of his time. He flies off into the distance. It's action packed and it doesn't rail road you into the main quest.
Immortality, Dwemer style (well, not really, but if Kagranek wasn't silly enough to fiddle with Lorkhan's heart, that's how i'd imagine the Dwemer achieving everlasting life). Heh, put the image in my head of Dwemer making Warhammer 40,000-style Dreadnaughts. [editline]28th January 2012[/editline] Imagine one of your followers dying, you put their soul into a Centurion, then it speaks like the Warhammer 40k dreadnaughts. "Even in death I still serve". [editline]28th January 2012[/editline] When the CK comes out, I am making a mod that does exactly fucking that, no matter how hard it is or how long it'll take me.
I guess if the Dwemer didn't completely disappear from existence in every way imaginable you could come up with an excuse for having Dwarven machines that are possessed by their creators' souls or something. They'd probably be considered unholy though.
Agh, accidentally deleted my save, awesome. Oh well time to start over as a mage.
thats why i used more then 1 save file
I take a new file every time I save.
The Dwemer are so interesting, it would neat if they came back and you could interact with their societies. Maybe as a prequel or something.
The Dwemer are so interesting, it would neat if they came back and you could interact with their societies.
Immortality, Dwemer style
[sp]Sotha Sil from Tribunal.[/sp]
[sp]Sotha Sil from Tribunal.[/sp]
He's not Dwemer, though. [sp]The Dwemer's own attempts to use Lorkhan's heart backfired drastically. The Tribunal were less ambitious i.e. giving godlike power only to themselves.[/sp] [editline]28th January 2012[/editline] Speaking of Dwemer, now that I have a working arrow forging mod, I shall roleplay as a crazy Redguard obsessed with Dwemer, who uses only Dwemer stuff (where applicable). Changed the sex and name of my character to male and Maximus Decimus Meridius (because I am chronically uncreative. Yes, I know he wasn't black)
So guys, I played Skyrim today... This one made me laugh for no reason
One of the companions murdered some of the guards in Whiterun and is now following me around and repeating "These two aren't a problem any more." endlessly.
Anyone know when the update that gives steamworks support comes out?

I think I've hit a mental block when it comes to playing Skyrim. A while ago I finished the main quest and I'm wondering what is the point in continuing. I've already beaten the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, and Companions questlines. I've maxed my smithing and have Legendary Daedric everything. What's the point of playing if I already have tons of money and the best items in the game?

If not go do them, also you didn't mention Mage's guild, and even if you have those two things done just go run through some dungeons, or you could go on a town rampage and slaughter everyone. EDIT: Also go do some enchanting, that's what's keeping me busy, with the gathering souls and soulgems and all that.
Festus Krex, the Dark Brotherhood's wizard is hilarious. It's funny when he says stuff like "yeah whatever, hail Sithis, go kill people, stop bothering me." "When life gives you lemons... go murder a clown." :v:
that sucks, i was looking forward to creepy hands dragging me under the water.
Decked out Lydia in full plate steel (well, not really full, no helmet; it looks absolutely ridiculous on women for some reason. Give me a sec and i'll show you what I mean). Once I get enough grand soul gems (or black) and enchant it, she should be incredibly powerful (certainly helps that now I have the arcane enchantment perk, I can improve the Shield of Ysgramor and this one Orcish sword I found that has 40 magical damage) I'm sticking to my Dwemer stuff for sentimental reasons. That, and it's a perfectly matching set, not really possible with plate steel (and orcish looks like arse on anyone except orcs). Waiting until I get the Daedric smithing perk (no point making ebony armour since Daedric uses the same material and is only 10 smithing ranks higher) [editline]28th January 2012[/editline] Actually, now that I remember about the Ebony Mail, I might go ebony and not go Daedric, since it looks less absurd than Daedric.
I miss how evil and ornate the Deadric Armor looked in Oblivion. The weapons and armor were more viscous looking, almost as if just looking at the equipment gave you scratches and burns. In Skyrim its like someone glued black stalactites to your armor.

Skyrim's Daedric catches the feel of the Daedra, elegant, but rough, fucking evil and craggy without looking earthly.
I dunno, the Daedric armor in Oblivion looked too red.

Even the helmets looked like crowns and the armor looked like it glowed which really went well with Dagon's hellhole of a realm, but Skyrim's just doesn't do it for me. It's just too plain aside from the spikes. I think the biggest turn off is the helmet. And the Dremora don't come off as elegant to me at all. They are utter assholes who capture, burn, and torture humans and they live in fucking horrendously ugly towers, they are pretty brutal overall. Otherwise, Skyrim's armor is better in almost every way. I don't think anyone is going to miss Oblivion's Elven and Glass armors.
Is this game as good as it claims to be? The only roleplaying games I've enjoyed are Fallout 3/New Vegas and Mass Effect. Is there any place that has it on sale?
